I live in a mobile home park about 45 minutes to downtown Ottawa. There is a swimming pool and a nine hole golf course along with a mini putt and a children's playground all for a small fee. I have 110 power if you really need it. I have lots of fresh water. Suggested Local Attractions:Downtown Kempsville is a lovely little village with a nice bakery and several nice restaurants. Merrickville is less than half an hour away and is on the Rideau canal system it's a great little village to walk around and see how the locks work. Ottawa is 45 minutes away and I can give you directions on either main highway to get to downtown or a scenic route that's a lovely drive

I live in Mountain Ontario about 45 minutes to downtown Ottawa Details: I am single and retired. I travel either alone or with friends (including my boyfriend). I am fairly new to RV'ing and love the freedom it gives you. I love to travel and meet new people and see new things and enjoy learning about local culture. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Locally on the top of the hill overlooking a friends farm and watching both the sunset and sunrise. Over the last three years myself and my boyfriend have started wintering in the southern US. I’ve been to Florida many times, southern Texas and Arizona. The only spots in the US we haven’t travelled to is the north west. We found many lovely Boondocking spots on route and have camped many times on BLM land. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am a good cook, and love to read. I was a police officer for 32 years so have some experience with Canadian law if you have any questions. My second career is in real estate and I love it. I’ve had 6 different motor homes and each was unique and taught me something.

After some confusion finding Lynda's mobile home (which is not on a river anymore) we connected with her and we were pleased to settle in on her driveway. Lynda was more than accommodating and it was wonderful to meet her and some of her friends in the neighborhood. Understand that she does not live in the campground but the next door mobile home park.

As I turned the corner, Lynda was waving me down to her site. A much appreciated gesture. Beautiful, sheltered parking. Must come again.

Lynda hosted us during our trip to Ottawa. Our interaction was virtual, but her hospitality poured through. Her place is very tranquil and scenic. She will always be welcome to stay at our place.

Lynda on the River provided a great experience for our first time as boondockers. Her friendly personality and vast knowledge of Ottawa and surrounding areas, added much to our enjoyment. We would be so pleased to have her visit us in Alberta.
