Our location is perfect for those looking for outdoor adventures. Nestled on the south shore of Lake Nipissing, the area is best known for its stunning sunset views and sand bottom beaches. Our 2 acres, country living home has plenty of space to accommodate boondocking travelers. Our yard is private and secluded, surrounded by the woods. We are located across the road from the lake, but a short 10 minute walk to enjoy the nearest public beach. Enjoy an evening campfire, or swim at the beach. Homeowner is a collector of antique snowmobiles and is always willing to share the history of the winter sport. If you want to play tourist, Nipissing Village is 12km south, with a little museum and old fashioned candy store. Visit Callander, 15 km east, home to the Callander Bay Heritage Museum which is the perfect spot to learn about Canada's historically famous, Dionne Quintuplets. Or visit the Callander waterfront, with a beach, splash pad and playground. North Bay is 30 km, with plenty to see and do. In North Bay, visit the waterfront with a beach, playscape, miniature train and two hand painted carousels. Take a boat tour of Lake Nipissing on the Chief Commanda. Three local microbreweries, museums, fishing, beaches, hiking & bike trails throughout the area. Please note: our home is also shared part-time by our friendly, grand-dogs, who run loose on the property. **When staying, we also welcome setting up a tent next to your rig, if you need extra space for your family. ** Please do not bring firewood from outside the region.

We are a newly retired couple from Northern Ontario who enjoy traveling in our 5th wheel. Purchased our 5th wheel 6 years ago, but prior to that, we traveled the country, tenting with our children. My husband has a passion for vintage snowmachines and classic cars. I enjoy native drumming, kayaking, and stand up paddleboarding. Living in the north has given us the perfect environment for enjoying year round outdoor activities. We can’t wait to meet other Boondockers through our travels and look forward to hosting.

I’m not sure I can capture adequately in words the welcome I received at Jewell’s Place. I arrived just after sunset on a cold Sunday. I had requested the stay only shortly before when another BW stay did not work out. They accepted my request immediatley, and I was greeted with extraordinary kindness and generosity when I Arrived. They directed me to a level parking spot close to 30am outlet and water source (well!), helped me get settled, and pointed out places to walk next day. I enjoyed many conversations with them and ended up staying an extra night. I would travel this area again just to return to this BW host!

The location is lovely and quiet. The site was nice and level in a beautiful setting with a quiet beach nearby where we got to watch the sunset.
