We have an old Maine farmhouse on ten acres that is located about half way between Portland and Freeport. Friendly dogs are welcome and we have a large field and some woods that they are welcome to investigate. Suggested Local Attractions:We are about half way between Portland and Freeport. There are lots of wonderful restaurants, microbreweries, farmers markets, music venues, etc. within a twenty minute distance. We are happy to help with rides to these places to help you out. Lots of good shopping in Portland and many outlets in Freeport, and of course L. L. Bean!

Our first BW stay was wonderful. Lovely welcoming friendly hosts, a level parking surface with a beautiful view of the field and woods. Convenient for visiting Portland, ME and surrounding coastal towns. We’ll be back!

Well, the property is beautiful and the local area is quaint but the best part of our stay was meeting the gracious hosts. Much appreciated!

What a lovely place to arrive at after a lengthy drive! Both Gunner the dog and I enjoyed meeting our wonderful hosts, and Gunner loved romping around with Russel. I especially appreciated the electric hook-up, as it was a rather cold morning. I would love to return when the ground is not covered with snow to really appreciate the beauty of their property. Many thanks!

We had a great stay at the Maine Farmhouse. Our hosts were absolutely amazing. They gave us some suggestions on local diners to try out. During our stay there was severely rainy day. Our hosts were ready to have us park our van in their garage and even offered to bring us fresh pizza! We appreciated the kindness these lovely people showed us. Thanks so much!

After some initial miscommunication we settled in for a quiet peaceful evening. The yard is expansive and beautiful. I was hesitant to drive on it but encouraged to do so to take advantage of some shade.
