Our available pad is level. You have a choice of 2 plugins. You may use our garbage, recycling bin (no glass) and compost bins. You are welcome to use the yard and enjoy the gardens. You are welcome to set up lawn chairs in our backyard and use the gas BBQ. Walking distance to downtown, grocery store, library. Maple Creek hosts many events like the Cowboy Poetry Festival in September, rodeos. RV dump is less than a mile away and free and the rodeo grounds near there has free overnight camping. You would have driven right by this area if coming from highway #1. We are about 1/2 hour to Center Block and 45 minutes to West Block Cypress Hills. Center block is commercialized and touristy with lots of paid campsites. West Block is wilder with an equestrian camp and some primitive campsites. Very unique area to explore. We used to horseback ride in the hills and would be happy to show you the hiking trails. PS Maple Creek is on the main CPR rail line so frequent trains pass through day and night. Their whistles either drive folks crazy or they love to hear them. We are both vaccinated but still keep our distance from 'strangers'. If for some reason we cannot host you there is the option of staying FREE at the rodeo grounds in Maple Creek. When approaching Maple Creek from Hwy #1 you will notice a sign on your left for Maple Creek Veterinary Clinic and a GMC dealership. Turn left and drive around the back of the vet clinic. You will see where the water access and sewer dump is (water only available May long weekend to Labor Day). There is a trail to an open grassy area surrounded by tall cottonwood trees. Make yourself at home! Suggested Local Attractions:Art gallery's, motels, evening entertainment, museums and many summer events. COVID has changed this availability. https://www.maplecreek.ca/

Southwest Saskatchewan Welcomes You Details: We are 2 retired horse and dog loving married women living in Maple Creek Southwest corner of Saskatchewan Canada. When we travel we use our 2017 Pleasure Way XLTD we named ARVY. We recently retired our horses so we now hike (instead of ride) our trails at the West Block Cypress Hills Provincial Park about 1/ 2 hour from home. When we travel with ARVY we usually take our 2 overly friendly dogs with us and we are self sufficient. We can stay off grid for a week no hook ups required.During 2020 we stayed in our province of Saskatchewan where we visited parts we had never seen before. Home Town: Maple Creek is in the Southwest corner of Saskatchewan http://www.visitcypresshills.ca/ https://www.maplecreek.ca/ Population is about 2200. Maple Creek is a well preserved western town serving the southwest of this province. We live in a home where walking to the post office, grocery store, downtown area and library are all within a couple of blocks. We garden and grow as much of our own produce as possible. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Our last long trip was in 2019 .We returned from a 5 week late summer early fall 10,241 km trip that included Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, California, Oregon , Washington, British Columbia , Alberta. Two out of the 5 weeks were free boondocking nights. Skills or Expertise to Share: We like to 'make do', re purpose, and live well frugally. We love to cook all of our own meals and share with others. We love to garden. Denise is a carpenter and loves to chain saw. Denise is also an avid sewing machine operator creating canvas bags with cast off upholstery patchwork pockets, 100% woolen mitts made from sweaters and more recently has sewn over 1450 cotton masks to help reduce risk of covid spread. Anyone travelling from the south to the Pleasure Way factory in Saskatoon will likely pass through here. Saskatoon is 4 hours from here.

A very nice time we had with these hosts. Most helpful in all respects. Learned about Cypress Hills, gardening, irrigation and keeping hands warm in the winter.

Lovely hosts in a warm and friendly town. We were welcomed with some lettuce and information about the general area. The hosts generously offered electric and water. Had a peaceful nights rest and a wonderful chat in the morning. Excellent place to stay.

We were welcomed by our two friendly hosts. They gave us good information about the region and we were lucky enough to have a good chat with them in the evening. They even gave us some of their lettuce from the garden. We recommend this place if you travel in the area.

We both had the best sleep of our whole trip here! The parking spot is clean and had plenty of room for us to walk around our rig. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. They have taken the time to have a printed page of need-to-know answers about the property and the surrounding area. It is much appreciated! The neibourhood is quiet and we felt very safe.
