We spent 3 very nice nights at Lown's Place near Kingsley, MI. Max and Melissa were super hosts allowing us to access electricity and the ability to fill up jugs of water that we could add to our holding tank. Upon our arrival our electric camper jack froze up and we were unable to use it. Max let us borrow his 2 ton floor jack which enabled us to disconnect our truck from our camper. We were able to purchase a hand crank jack at a Tractor Supply in nearby Traverse City. Max even texted us the next day checking on us to be sure we were okay. Later, he and Melissa came by to deliver 2 pints of their homemade Maple syrup. We enjoyed sharing stories with one another and would definitely stay here again if we're in the Traverse City area. Even though it rained our entire 3rd day and night while there, we had no difficulty pulling our camper from the grassy spot and down the dirt road to the paved highway.

I just finished up a 4 night stay at Lown’s Place. There’s quite a few choices to park on the property. Communication was quick and excellent before, during and after my stay. The hospitality was the highlight as well as their adorable sheep! Very centrally located to quite a few places along Michigan’s upper west coast and the peninsula’s north of Traverse City. Ask about the Amish Farmers market not far away. I will definitely try to stay here again.

We enjoyed our time at this quiet family farm and meeting Melissa and Max; they told us of their desire to keep the farm going after his parents passed. They both work full time jobs and stopped to visit after work. They also have many, many maple trees there from which they produce and sell maple syrup. YUM!

Nice, quiet and level. Enjoyed our visits with Max and Melissa. Super nice and friendly! Purchased some of their delicious syrup made right from the trees on their farm!
