We are located on two mowed acres. Guests are welcomed to park anywhere along our 150 foot smooth, level, gravel driveway to the barn or on the concrete pad down by the barn but will need to back in (or out) from a narrow street and around two small curves. ***IMPORTANT: See below in Parking Information for more on this.*** You may use a generator for limited use, but not all day long for AC, please. For that you can use our electric hookup and only for this would we request a donation. We have 15, 30 and 50 amp outlets available. We have lots of shady trees and a fire pit. We also have an above ground pool with large deck that may be available to you, depending on our plans. WiFi is available but you will need to be near the house. We can take a small amount of trash in our dumpster. While we can’t provide a water hookup we may be able to allow you to add to your tank. Suggested Local Attractions: We are less than 30 minutes from Lake Michigan and about 20 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. We are close to stores and a few restaurants. ***The Hudsonville Fair is August 22-27, 2022. It is 1/4 mile away so during that week our location will not be quiet. Just before the grandstand events begin each evening (usually 6-7pm) and when they let out (usually between 9-10) traffic can be very heavy in the area. Daytime and overnights are fine. You are certainly welcome to stay, just want you to be aware.***

House Rules
No smoking on the property. Moderate alcohol use is allowed. Quiet after 10pm. Limited generator use between 9am and 10pm. Because we have a cat, dogs must stay leashed and we prefer they stay inside as much as possible, though we could have a discussion about letting them outside on a longer rope. No dogs that are aggressive or bark excessively. We will show you where they can “go” and please clean up after them. Bagged waste may be placed in our dumpster. Please don’t message us before 9 am or after 10 pm Eastern time.
Location
Access Road Conditions: We are on a paved, dead end street but it is narrow with no shoulders. ***Good backing skills are helpful. You will need to back up onto our driveway and then around two small curves to get onto the barn driveway. Driving over our grass some is expected and not a problem. Motorhomes of all sizes and types navigate this fine but the longest fifth wheels and trailers are finding it more challenging. For the very large rigs we may have to decide on a case-by-case basis after seeing a description of your rig and taking into account current rainfall but please feel free to request a stay. We will talk about it and see what we can do to get you in.*** Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Towed vehicles can be unhooked on the road and driven in. Tow and towed vehicles can be parked anywhere on the gravel driveway.

Always looking for a new adventure. Retired Christian couple (electrical engineer and RN) who likes to travel. We love our kids and grandkids most, and our cat. We enjoy being outside especially if it involves water or hiking. We have visited all 50 states (driven to 49), most multiple times, as well as several US territories, and we have driven to all the Canadian provinces and territories ... all on a shoestring budget, in a conversion van, with four kids! We have also visited 16 foreign countries (including N Korea!) on four continents. Home Town: Hudsonville, MI

We had a great stay here. Close to surrounding areas and still far enough away for some peace. Level parking with Electric offered! You have to back in, but with adequate skills, it isnt hard. I did fine with a 27’ TT pulling with a 19’ vehicle. Larger Motorhomes and bigger rigs may have issues. Hosts are incredible! Helpful getting set up, showing us what to do around the area, and Jack even shared some of his wine. We were sent off with a Pastie and it was delicious. Thank you for everything!

Thank you so much to our host for letting us park a couple days to explore the area and relax. You have a very peaceful place. All though we didn't have much conversation it was good to see the value you see in spending time with grand children. God Bless You Folks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at MI Boondock! The hosts were great in every way including helping to guide us while backing our 38’ FW on to the concrete pad in their back/side yard where the power hook-ups are located. Very peaceful area that’s fairly close to Grand Rapids, Holland and the Douglas-Saugatuck areas. The combination of fantastic and friendly hosts, amenities and location make MI Boondock a valuable part of the BW community! Thank you MI Boondock!

Jack and Leda were great with communication and directions. We enjoyed visiting with them on their deck one evening. This was a great spot to explore the area. We will definitely stop again when we are back in the area.
