We are located on two mowed acres. Guests are welcomed to park anywhere along our 150 foot smooth, level, gravel driveway to the barn or on the concrete pad down by the barn but will need to back in (or out) from a narrow street and around two small curves. ***IMPORTANT: See below in Parking Information for more on this.*** You may use a generator for limited use, but not all day long for AC, please. For that you can use our electric hookup and only for this would we request a donation. We have 15, 30 and 50 amp outlets available. We have lots of shady trees and a fire pit. We also have an above ground pool with large deck that may be available to you, depending on our plans. WiFi is available but you will need to be near the house. We can take a small amount of trash in our dumpster. While we can’t provide a water hookup we may be able to allow you to add to your tank. Suggested Local Attractions: We are less than 30 minutes from Lake Michigan and about 20 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. We are close to stores and a few restaurants. ***The Hudsonville Fair is August 21-26, 2023. It is 1/4 mile away so during that week our location will not be quiet. Just before the grandstand events begin each evening (usually 6-7pm) and when they let out (usually between 9-10) traffic can be very heavy in the area. Daytime and overnights are fine. You are certainly welcome to stay, just want you to be aware.***

House Rules

No smoking on the property. Moderate alcohol use is allowed. Quiet after 10pm. Limited generator use between 9am and 10pm. Because we have a cat, dogs must stay leashed and we prefer they stay inside as much as possible, though we could have a discussion about letting them outside on a longer rope. No dogs that are aggressive or bark excessively. We will show you where they can “go” and please clean up after them. Bagged waste may be placed in our dumpster. Please don’t message us before 9 am or after 10 pm Eastern time.

Location

Access Road Conditions: We are on a paved, dead end street but it is narrow with no shoulders. Please stay on the road, not on any neighbor’s grass. ***Good backing skills are helpful. You will need to back up onto our driveway and then around two small curves to get onto the barn driveway. Driving over our grass some is expected and not a problem. Motorhomes of all sizes and types navigate this fine but the longest fifth wheels and trailers are finding it more challenging. For the very large rigs we may have to decide on a case-by-case basis after seeing a description of your rig and taking into account current rainfall but please feel free to request a stay. We will talk about it and see what we can do to get you in.*** Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Towed vehicles can be unhooked on the road and driven in. And again, do not drive or park on any neighbor’s grass. Tow and towed vehicles can be parked anywhere on the gravel driveway.

Always looking for a new adventure. Retired Christian couple who likes to travel. We enjoy being outside especially if it involves water or hiking. We have visited all 50 states (driven to 49), most multiple times, as well as several US territories, and we have driven to all the Canadian provinces and territories ... all on a shoestring budget, in a conversion van. Since the kids left we have upgraded to an RV. Home Town: Hudsonville, MI

Wonderful communication with hosts, and both were very kind and helpful in getting our 38' Class A maneuvered into place! So thankful for the electrical hookup and the level space. Wish we could've stayed longer, and on our next visit to Holland we will be requesting to stay with them!

We would definitely stay with MI Boondock again. New breaker panel with 30/50amp. Beautiful and quiet setting and the hosts are very friendly. We enjoyed talking about life/travel with them. Their location is great for exploring GR, Holland and Grand Haven. If they are available, this spot should be on your radar in the Grand Rapids area.

Warm welcome from start to finish. Quick and complete communication. Site well suited to our class A motor home. Requires backing in and around a couple corners to a level paved driveway apron. Host offers 50/30/20 amp electric with breakers in the box as it should be. They met us on arrival and helped us back into our spot and we enjoyed nice conversations on their deck in the evening. Excellent location and we really enjoyed our visit we would certainly return. Thanks for being a host. Cheers.

I enjoyed a 3 day stay at Jack and Jean's. I had my 3 dogs with me and I found a wonderful park nearby to exercise them. Jack and Jean were terrific hosts, and Jack kindly offered to back my trailer down the driveway to the parking spot. We shared some wine on their deck and they welcomed a visit from my dogs. I would definitely book another stay.
