We have a rather steep cement road that leads to our home, so are limited in the length of vehicle we can host. Probably nothing larger than 22' would be comfortable with the turns and drop offs. We have a view of the Blimp Hangars that were built to house the blimps during World War II and are close to the Tillamook Creamery (Tillamook Cheese Factory) and, of course, the beautiful Oregon Coast!. We are in a rural setting and spend a lot of time outdoors. Suggested Local Attractions:There are many beautiful beaches near and Highway 101 is not very far away. The recently remodeled Tillamook Creamery is a place many people like to stop and enjoy. The Pioneer Museum in town is definitely worth visiting.

House Rules
We would prefer that there would be no smoking on the property. We have lots of wood outbuildings, so we are very careful about fire. We have animals as well, so your dogs would be best on a leash if they are traveling with you. Children are welcomed.

Access Road Conditions: Our address does not show properly on a map or GPS because our address is on the main road and our mailbox is not on the roadway. We have had to go looking for folks before who did not have cell service, so when we offer to meet you and bring you up the road that is why!

We tent camped for many years, but decided now we were ready for a class C! Details: We grew up in Tillamook, got married and left Tillamook thinking we would never move back, but we did when our boys were young ;-) We like the cooler weather and being close to the ocean and numerous rivers in our area. Home Town: We live in Tilamook, Oregon. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We often stay in National Forest locations, just pulling off the road.

We stayed at Mike and Bev's place one night on our trip down the Oregon coast in October. Bev graciously came to fetch us in Tillamook so we wouldn't get lost finding their place; apparently GPS delivers people to the wrong address. Access up their steep paved driveway was no problem in my short van but definitely would not suit anything much longer. We had a wonderfully quiet sleep up on their hill. Unfortunately we hit foggy weather otherwise I'm sure we would have had a great view on the short drive down the next morning. Thank you so much, Mike and Bev.

Gracious and interesting hosts. Went over and above to make us feel welcomed and part of the family. Looking forward to future visits.

They are serious about the steep road in, but if your rig is appropriate the parking spot and the Hosts are well worth the stay!

Mike, Bev and Princess made us feel very welcome and showed us around. They live on a hill overlooking a stunning view of forests and farmland. There are chickens, rabbits, cows, a horse and of course Princess. The 2 roosters helped us start our day, which was good because we found a lot to do. We really enjoyed our 2 day stay and visited several local towns, beaches, museums, hiking trails and all 3 cheese makers in the area. The Tillamook cheese factory and the Blue Heron cheese factory were on our list but when found the little Nestucca Creamery shop and fell in love. They have an excellent variety of cheeses and their homemade ice cream is so yummy. We also spent a night at the Blue Heron because they are a Harvest Host and then we spent a few more days a a local county campground. The area is wonderful and we just couldn't get enough of it. Driving up their driveway is steep, narrow and winding on a raise concrete road.We were glad our Motorhome is only 21 ft long. Their instructions on how to reach the house are accurate. Definitely do not trust Google maps. Google maps would have sent us up the road north of their place and brought us into the property behind them. The only thing I would add to their instructions is that the sharp turn is the first left immediately after you turn onto Valley View Rd.

We had a great time with Mike and Bev. Mike met us when we arrived and immediately made us feel at home. Bev was cooking dinner but came out shortly thereafter. She was equally welcoming. We had a bunch of belly laughs on the deck with Bev, you know girl time. Mike joined us and the laughs continued. Met their son Grant too. Beautiful smile, nice man, hard worker. How could he not be... This family is hard working, good stock, fun and funny. Built their house out of cedar that they planed on their property, firewood to heat their home is lined up in front, freeze drying food. Oh and that driveway they built? Holy cow. These people are amazing in so many ways. My girlfriend and I had a blast! In a world divided, we need more Mike and Bevs. Thank you for a fabulous experience.
