Age:

55-65

We are a fun loving retired (Pat) and semi retired (Helen) in our late 50's and mid 60's age range. We have been avid RVers since the late 90's when our 30 something now children were still in school and started with a large 5th wheel and F350 = the road warrior years. We have had a Motorhome since 2003 and have visited all but 2 of the USA states and finally in 2019 we made it to Newfoundland and Labrador to complete all the Canadian Provinces and Territories. We are proud Canadians after emigrating from the UK in the mid 90's and embraced and still do all that the USA and Canada has to offer us. We hope eventually to spend some time in Mexico RVing and if possible even further into South America. We currently (pre-Covid) spend a lot of time on extended multi weeks/month trips travelling around North America and hope to resume these travels again soon now things are opening up again. We have been blessed to cross the paths of many others that have kindly invited us to boondock on their properties and to that end look forward to sharing our own piece of tranquility and beauty here with a handful of others each year for a day or two as they travel through our area. We currently have one Labrador/Pyrenean cross Dog called Miss Ellie aged 5 and a loveable horse in his mid twenties called Monty (Mr Montegue). We look forwards to welcoming other likeminded folks to our acreage here just 10 mins south of Calgary and sharing as you wish local things to do and learning about others travel experiences as well. Welcome.

The pitch was perfectly straight and very quiet. We had nice conversations about living and travelling in Canada with Helen and Pat. They both gave us lots of tips for our scooter tours in the area. We felt very comfortable with Helen and Pat.

What a lovely spot on earth to call home! :-) We had severe storm weather with so strong winds (90 km/h) for several days that we stayed a night longer for not being swept off the road... Thanks a lot for letting us stay longer! We have a 32` 5th wheel and it was no problem to drive around the garden island. A lovely setting in a quiet neighbourhood - we hope to be back one day when the windgods are calm ;-)

We enjoyed our stay at Miss Ellies Abode. The hosts were so welcoming and offered advice and directions. The parking spot was on their paved, level driveway and we had no trouble navigating our 53foot truck and trailer. We enjoyed spending the day in the city and then returning to our peaceful home for the night. Many thanks to the hosts for their hospitality and a great stay!

Helen is a nice host. The place is wonderfull and so quiet with a lot of space. Not so far from the city, we coulld access a lot of things easily being close to highways. Helen suggested us many activities to see and do around. / Helen est tres accueillante et connaît bien les environs. elle nous a fourni une foule de renseignements sur les choses à faire et à voir dans les envions. L’emplacement est magnifique et tranquille. Nous recommandons chaleureusement./ Next time we visit, we will ask for a stay!
