Perfect urban boondock location. I am pleased to share my front driveway and park on the street. Electricity (Full RV hookup, 15, 20, 30 and 50 amps !) and water available. 2 different buses direct to subway at the corner. Bixi station at the corner. Grey water can be dumped in the driveway near the garage door drain. Kids welcome. Dogs welcome (if they don't bark and are not aggressive !!). Cats stay in the RV. I also share the backyard if I don't need it. You can dump garbage and recycling in the big bins (green is recycling). Past guests suggest earplugs if you are a light sleeper, my street is quite busy. You can use your BBQ, please go in the backyard to do so. Because of alternating no-parking on the street, I appreciate when guests check-in around 19h00 and check-out before 11h00am. Makes it easier for me to manage my car parked on the street while you use the parking. CLOSEST DUMP STATION (from Sanidumps website) 650, chemin du Lac Boucherville, Quebec, CDN, J4B 6X3 Driving Directions: across the street, in front of the public works facility Water is available; April through November only Season / Operational: Open year round; 24 hours Dump Station User Fee: Free Suggested Local Attractions:Montréal has EVERYTHING !! Spot is located a few feet from buses #136 and #18. Bixi (shared bicycles) station at the corner. This spot is the best home base to discover the city by public transit. Close to Parc Maisonneuve. Montréal public pools are free, so long warm showers available there. Ultramar gas station / convenience store 24/7 at the corner. Grocery (IGA) by foot 2 Streets away. STM public transit (Bus / Subway). Get your tickets/passes either : - Pay cash to hop on the bus at the corner, 3,50$ exact change needed. - At the Viau subway station. Things to see in Montréal : Go eat a "poutine" at La Banquise. Chalet on top of Mont Royal. 1000 La Gauchetière, indoor skating. Place Ville-Marie building. Old Port. Habitat 67. Plateau Mont-Royal. 4 university campuses to visit : Concordia, McGill and UQAM downtown. Polytechnique on the mountain. In the summer, go see the river surf behind Habitat 67. Summer outdoor electronic music : Piknic Electronik. Winter outdoor electronic music : Igloofest. Olympic stadium. Biodome. Ski until approximately May 15th every year, at Mont St-Sauveur, a 50-60 min drive.

House Rules

No smoking. Please communicate by email messages from the site or by text message, I do appreciate when people do not ring my doorbell :-) MAKE SURE TO TURN OFF THE BREAKER BEFORE PLUGGING IN !!!! Or else the GFCI breaker inside the garage will trip. The proper sequence is : - Turn breaker off (either the 20, the 30 or the 50 amp) - Plug in - Turn breaker on If you want to use the 50 amp plug, just unplug the EV charger and use the outlet. Electricity is very cheap in Québec. Feel free to use your heater or A/C as much as you want, the cost is minimal to me so make sure you stay comfortable ! The rest is just basic : be nice :-)

Location

Access Road Conditions: Very busy street. You'll need to park front end first to fit under the front deck. A bit of a challenge to back out, you'll need to ease out slowly and cut traffic. It's feasable, I often back up a trailer with my SUV, you just have to ignore the impatient drivers :-) Spot is 25 feet long with no height restriction, plus a few more feet under the front balcony, 12 feet wide. Slide-out allowed if it fits ! Best to drive in from the South, much easier to turn in if you are going front end first with an RV. If you are backing up a trailer, better to come in from the North, go past the house and back up. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Yes but a bit complicated : my street has a 3 hour no parking on each side, in rush hour flow. You'd have to park 1-2 streets away. Feasable but not ideal.

We drive a 25ft 10inch rig and fit in this driveway perfectly. Eric is a wonderful host, and came out to chat and introduce himself. There’s a great power hook up and ut was great being able to connect just in case we needed to turn our heat on. The street is a bit noisy, but that could be due to thr nearby construction. Lastly, theres a city bike stand nearby if yoy wanted to download BIXI and hit the town
