Mountain View Farm
This is a Boondockers Welcome host in Battle Ground, WA
Max Rig Size
Same Day Requests
WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING GUESTS AT THE MOMENT AS WE HAVE CONSTRUCTION GOING ON!! We have a long driveway with ample space to park and camp out - but do remember we have a farm with cattle and chickens and occasional smells that usually accompany this environment, although the cows are in a pasture that's not close to the camping area. We do not have an enclosed area for pets, and we have two small dogs and a cat that hangs out in the yard, so I have not specified the area as "pets welcome", but if you have a smallish dog that's leased we wouldn't mind. Suggested Local Attractions:We are reasonably close to state parks and hiking trails, and Portland is a 30 minute drive from us. We have a view of Mt Hood on a clear day and the ski area is approximately 45 minutes from us. There are multiple wineries within a 15 mile radius (eg Bethany). The town of Battle Ground has some breweries and good restaurants too.

Please don't smoke on our property or let dogs run loose, and at night we have cayotes coming through so definitely don't let them out unsupervised. We don't mind kids as long as they don't interfere with the farm animals and farming activities. Please no (very) loud music, especially after 10 pm, we do not want to upset the neighbors. Other than leaving the site as you found it, we are happy to have you.

What a lovely place to stop for the night. We were just passing through on our way to visit family, and got a good nights rest and felt very safe. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for the hospitality!!

The host was very nice. Her husband was out of town but she made an exception for us to stay which was very helpful since our rig is large (43') and we have trouble finding places sometimes. Her driveway has a circle at the end and was easy to navigate. There are several different places you can chose from, especially if you're on the smaller side or don't need hook ups. They do have one spot that does have 50 amp. They also have water connections. They have cows and some free range chickens but we didn't smell anything at all! One of the cows got out when we were there so we got to help round it up which was an experience! The host was quite nice and accommodating all around.

I could go on and on about the charm and beauty of the site and the environs, or the graciousness of the hosts, or the convenient location, but then there might not be room for me when I come through again. So, meh, it was ok… ;-)
