Located 2-1/4 miles from Hwy 93 and Hwy 35 junction (I live on 35). My 6 sites are grassy areas. One close to my house has 20 amp service and ability to fill up water tanks. Nice area with willow trees and evergreens. Next site is next to my shop on a grassy area with views of lake. Water only to fill tanks. Several sites down the lane in an open grassy area. No services. Can fill tanks on your way in or out but no hookup. Plenty of room for privacy. All sites have views of the mountains and lake. Suggested Local Attractions: Downtown Polson is quaint with friendly people. Located on Flathead Lake. We have 2 nice museums. There is a fishing dock/pier at Salish point in town. A good place to put in your kayak. The National Bison Range is aprox 40 minutes away. Bigfork area is 35 minutes north. Glacier National Park is 1.5 hours to the west entrance. Just hanging out at the lake is awesome enough where you can rent kayaks, wave runners, boats. Also, we have Wildhorse Island where you can take hikes and picnics. Big Arm and Bigfork MT have shuttles to the island. Day use only. The island has bighorn sheep, mule deer and a few horses as well as occasional bear sightings, waterfowl, eagles, falcons..see website. Finley Point State Park is located off Highway 35 approximately 6 miles from my location, where you can camp, boat and kayak.

House Rules

Just be respectful of my property. We tend to have lots of fires 🔥 in Montana, so please be careful of smoking outside or Bbqing. Dogs on leash unless in the pasture beyond the house; and pick up after them if on the lawn please (my neighbor had 2 chickens killed by a dog, fortunately not a boondocker’s dog) so don’t let your animal run loose if they are not trained to stay close! I have no receptacle for trash. Lake county Transfer station is south of town approximately 4-5 miles on right (free). Our neighbors have horses, so please keep kids and dogs out of their space. They are great neighbors, so let’s keep it that way! I enjoy my guests having a good time. However, please NO loud music. Generators are permitted.

Retired and enjoying life. Details: Hi, I’m Patty. My little corner of the world is awesome. Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater Lake west of the Mississippi. It is 28 miles long and 15 miles wide. It is magnificent. Lots of hiking, fishing, boating, kayaking etc. Glacier National Park is about 1-1/2 hours away. National Bison Range 45 minutes. Kerr Dam (SKQ) Flathead River area 20 minutes with awesome overlook. We have 2 museums in Polson. Main Street has many neat shops. Please visit our parks; Boettcher and Sacajawea are my favorite. Bigfork is about 30 minutes north. It is a very Artsy village, and main street reflects that. Be sure and drive over the one-lane bridge. Missoula is about an hour south. Kalispell is about 45 minutes north. We have 2 ski resorts: Big Mountain (Whitefish) and Blacktail Mountain (Lakeside). Home Town: Polson MT Favorite Boondocking Locations: I have traveled to all but 2 states. Driving to Alaska was the most awesome ever. I had done a couple of cruises there, but driving it was the best. Skills or Expertise to Share: I enjoy making people feel welcome.

This was our second time at this location. The host is awesome and very generous with her property. To enter, you drive through a narrow gate and then drive down a hard pack dirt road to her grass field. There are lots of flat spots to park. We had no problem leveling our 35’ 5th wheel. The views of the mountains and a partial view of the lake are beautiful. We hope to stay here again.

Patty could not have been more genuinely nice. She met us at the roadway and showed us the way to the back end of 5 acres, horses to the right and cows to the left. What a wonderful property! My wife and I brought kayaks as we wanted to spend the day on Flathead Lake. A short drive to Sacajawea Park / Salish Park was the best spot to access the water. Patty offered water for our tank as well! No doubt we'll be back.

Patty and her beautiful property were quite the welcome respite that we needed. Her hospitality enabled us to have A/C (and fill our water tank) during a heatwave, and her lovely acreage tempted us to hang out outside, enjoying the view, longer than we planned to. Such a lovely stay (and hostess!) in a great, convenient location.
