Level graveled area to the side of our garage. Easy access on a flag lot. Water available though you will want to bring your own drinking water because of the taste. Large unfenced yard and mowed field where you can exercise your dog. However, we also have outside kitties that prefer to not be chased! Amtrak and freight train tracks run about 1/4 mile from our house so you can expect periodic train noises throughout the night. Located 20 miles north of Eugene and the University of Oregon, and 25 miles south of Oregon State University in Corvallis. We’re a mile away from the Willamette River at Harrisburg, and easy driving distance to the McKenzie River. An hour and a half away from Florence on the Oregon coast.

House Rules

We love dogs, but they need to either be on a leash or be directly under your control. No yippy dogs, please! Limited use of generators only - we do have 30 amp plug-in available. And solar will work great in that area as well.

Location

We sit back away from the street. I’m including one picture to show the long driveway from the street. There’s adequate room to turn around in the driveway, which is on a flag lot and shared with our neighbor. For longer RVs, we’ll have a separate area in the driveway for you to park your tow vehicle. You will need to stay on our side of the driveway, which we’ll explain when you arrive.

Wayne and I are retired and have been RVing on a semi-regular basis for about 8 years. Our longest trip was a 6 month adventure across the USA in 2019. We’ve made several 3-6 week trips plus many, many “shorts” in and around Oregon, where we live. Our favorite way to travel is by the seat-of-our-pants because we love to talk to folks as we travel and get recommendations about things to see and places to visit. In Oregon we often go to BLM or Forest Service campgrounds near our favorite fly fishing waters.

We talked briefly on their veranda. They gave me a very level site. I didn't need water or electricity, but they had it. I had a brief but very comfortable stay.

Wayne and Nancy were so nice and helpful. They accepted our same day request. They gave us ideas and shared directions of good places to camp. They told us where things are in the area, including a laundromat. Their property is absolutley gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here on our way to the Redwoods. Nancy’s advice was extremely helpful for planning our trip to the Redwoods. There are two places to park. One at the front of their house with electric and one in the backyard with no electric but it did have shade. we have a 29’ travel trailer and could have parked at either spot. We chose the backyard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Use the picture in the photos that shows what the end of the drive looks like because you can’t see the house from the road. We set up in their backyard and enjoyed an evening sitting on the back patio with this great couple admiring their beautiful gardens.

Absolutely lovely home, great people, we had a wonderful stay. This would be absolute perfection except for some train noise and it does run during the night.
