My wife and I had an RV for 40 years. We traveled everywhere in North America and loved every minute of it. After traveling, we settled down and now have a spot out ...well, we are behind the woods. While we are only about 9 miles from a Wal-Mart, we are in a very quiet area. Its nice.

The road in is a bit rough but it’s definitely worth the drive. Quiet place with friendly people. Joined the crew for early coffee and had fun meeting everyone. Propane is available to purchase. Will definitely stop again in the future!

I highly recommend Neely’s Place as a great place to boondock, very private and secluded. The only sounds you’ll hear are the birds. Biking and hiking begins as soon as you step out of your RV. Woodville TX has a Walmart Supercenter and other amenities. Livingston is 40 miles (Escapees headquarters), Beaumont is 60 miles and Houston is little over 100 miles. Several national forests are in the area and several large lakes too. Up the road is a music camp “1/2-mile”, live string band music and jam sessions, ask the host for information (bring your instruments). The host promptly communicates and gets you parked and settled. Parking is away from the main road so be prepared to drive a couple of miles on gravel. Neely’s Place is a great destination, I’ll return.
