Quiet country living at its best! We are near many lakes with great fishing opportunities (several within 10 miles/10 minutes), hiking, biking (10 minutes away from Redhead Mountain Bike Park and less than 5 minutes from the Mesabi Bike Trail System) and snowmobile trails (less than 4 miles/5 minutes), ski lodge and resorts are within a one-hour drive. We are near big box stores for convenient shopping (they offer order ahead and pick up; no delivery at this time [willing to pick up your orders if prepaid/arranged] ), restaurants (delivery not available but order ahead/pickup is always an option), grocery stores, major pharmacy for convenient medication orders and pickups. Nearby to several local vets and dog boarding is one road over if you are heading out for a vacation. Our local dog groomer information and recommendation upon request. We offer sites with some sun as well as sites with some shade available (FCFS). We live on site and are often available for questions or recommendations, but we always respect your privacy and want/need to be left alone. Perfect for travelers with pets, big yard to run and play. Limited kennel space, available upon request and reserved; FCFS. Pontoon, SUP, kayak and canoe rentals nearby as well as jet skis and fishing boats. We are also near some beautiful ski resorts. Fishing guide recommendations upon request. Close to four golf courses and several swimming beaches. Close to main highways but just far enough away for a peaceful night’s sleep with Minnesota wildlife often visiting our backyard; deer, bluebirds, robins and occasionally an eagle. We are also able to accommodate those that travel together, i.e.; more than one RV, trailer, tent...etc. Suggested Local Attractions: In or nearby Hibbing MN: Hull Rust Mine - https://hibbingmineview.org Greyhound Bus Museum - https://www.greyhoundbusmuseum.org Hibbing Historical Society Museum - https://hibbinghistory.org Carey Lake Recreation Area - https://www.exploreminnesota.com/profile/carey-lake-park/1928 Minnesota Discovery Center - https://www.mndiscoverycenter.com McCarthy Beach State Park - https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/park.html?id=spk00226#homepage Palmer's Tavern - http://www.palmerstavern.pub Boomtown Brewery & Woodfire Grill - https://boomtownwoodfire.com Redhead Mountain Bike Park (8/14/22 I added a few pics) - https://www.mndiscoverycenter.com/visit/redhead-mountain-bike-park In or near Virginia MN: Boomtown Brewery & Woodfire Grill - https://boomtownwoodfire.com Kunnaris Kitchen & Coffee House - https://kunnaris-kitchen.squarespace.com Sawmill Saloon Restaurant - http://sawmillsaloonrestaurant.com Adventures Restaurant & Pub - https://www.adventuresrestaurants.com Canelake's Candies - https://www.canelakescandies.com Giant Loon - https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/8744 Irma's Finland House - https://www.facebook.com/IrmasFinlandHouse Giants Ridge Recreation Area - https://www.giantsridge.com Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Area - https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/ohv/gilbert/index.html

House Rules

You are welcome to smoke in your own vehicles/RV, but not outside on our property, do not throw your cigars or cigarettes on the ground; please dispose of them in your own trash receptacles. All pets must be on a leash at all times; retractable leashes are not allowed or acceptable. Please pick up after your pets; in your camp site, in the yard, on the driveway, on the road and in the weeds...please, do not leave it for wildlife to become interested in or attracted too. THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE TIED UP OUTSIDE WITHOUT YOU. This is a safety issue; we have wild animals that do cross paths with us as they make their way through our property. If your pet is tied up unsupervised, they are prey; please, do not put them in that situation. Children must always be attended and supervised.

These folks went out of their way to re-open their calendar so we could book one night. There was quite a storm forecast but they must have been just enough north so we had no problems. Very basic area totally open for us to choose a level spot and stay hooked up. They have electric and water fill but we didn't need that. Thank you for a super quiet, safe night out in the country.

We had a very quiet and peaceful stay. Lots of room to park. Host Denise was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again if back in this area.

North Haven was just what we needed after 2 days of driving in heavy rain. It was large, level, so easy to get parked, and Denise gave perfect instructions for us. We slept SO well in the quiet of that place. Very thankful for their kindness in letting us stay!
