We are located about 80 miles north/west of Yosemite National Park, and also about 80 miles from Sacramento CA, the state Capital. We are on a 21 acre farm, between the towns of Riverbank CA and Oakdale CA. We are NOT located on or near the Stanislaus River. The BW/HH map may not correctly show our location. We have two Host sites - Oakdale Farm #1 and Oakdale Farm #2. These two Host RV sites are on the same property and only about 100 feet apart. We are beside a local train track, which is used to haul farm produce and lumber, so there will be train noise on occasion. Our #2 RV site is not available during the fall walnut harvest. Since the exact date depends on the weather and the farmer's schedule, we cannot accept stay requests between mid October thru mid November each fall. We have several cats, including three barn cats that have free access to all area of the farm to help us control mice and other rodents. If you have a dog, you must keep it leashed when outside. We have a 1/4 acre pond - no guests allowed in the pond area without specific permission, or in the barns. If you plug into our 30 amp power, please be prepared to donate towards our utilities. You are welcome to use our dump station and also hook up to our well water supply, no donation needed for those items. There are four homes on our 21 acre farm, each with separate driveways. If your stay request is approved, you will receive a detailed Farm Map image, with labels that designate which of the four driveways you need to use to enter the RV staging area. Heading northbound on the county road, you can make a 90 degree left turn into the correct driveway. Guests are requested to respect the private areas of the homes. We have a community park area that we all use for relaxing, watching sunsets, having a campfire, or just socializing with each other. We are politically conservative, so if that bothers you we will refrain from any political comments. However, we have chosen to not accept the experimental gene therapy "vaccine". So if you have been vaccinated - you are still welcome but we will not have physical contact due to the shedding of spike proteins from vaccinated people that can infect other people with the spike proteins that can be deadly. Suggested Local Attractions:Yosemite National Park, Sacramento, San Francisco, Modesto, Woodward Reservoir, Historic Knights Ferry on the Stanislaus River, Columbia Historic Gold Mine town, Sonora Gold Rush era town, Jamestown Train Museum, many local wineries within an hour's drive. The Stanislaus River is just about a mile north of us. The historic town of Knights Ferry is nearby on the river, and there is a museum of local history about the mill that used to operate there. The exhibits include information about local wild-life and the salmon that migrate up the Stanislaus River from the Pacific Ocean. During the annual migration you can watch them from the bridge over the river. Knights Ferry also has one of the longest restored single-span covered bridges west of the Mississippi. Oakdale has an extensive ranching and rodeo history - the Oakdale Cowboy Museum is a wealth of information about the area. Oakdale has shopping, a summer Farmer's Market, and a number of excellent restaurants.

Location
Access Road Conditions: We require that you arrive in daylight, since we are located on an unlit paved two lane county road between Riverbank and Oakdale California. Access to our #2 RV site is via a 90 degree LEFT turn into the driveway, from the northbound lane on the county road, then straight west thru a single farm gate. Then you will have to pull forward and then back up parallel to the barn, all the way back close to the small gate. The power and water will be available at that location, through the small gate. We no longer have any livestock in the barn area. Our farm is bordered on the north side by RR tracks - and you will see and hear the trains that haul grain and lumber to local destinations near Oakdale CA. We normally get only one or two trains each 24 hours. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Unless the RV and tow vehicle are less than 25 ft total - the tow vehicle will have to be parked in a separate location nearby.

Retired HVAC contractor and Law Enforcement professional Details: We owned and operated our HVAC contracting company for nearly 30 years in Modesto, CA. We both worked for the Stanislaus Sheriff's Office in Modesto, CA. We also actively manage our 21 acre ranch, where we used to raise cattle and horses and goats. We have recently leased part of the ranch pasture to a professional farmer raising walnut trees. Now we are retired and like to travel in our 40 ft. diesel Safari RV. We are politically conservative and will not comply with mask mandates or experimental vaccines. We have four homes on our ranch - we live in one and friends are tenants in the other three. We are members of the Modesto CA Elks Lodge #1282 and when we travel we often camp with RV friendly Elks Lodges. We're very active members of RVillage.com and manage a group there for Elks and Moose Lodges that are RV friendly. Home Town: Oakdale, CA. Oakdale is a very western town, that hosts a PRCA rodeo each spring. Oakdale is known as "the Cowboy Capital of the World". We are located about 80 miles west of Yosemite National Park, and about 30 miles from the Gold Country pioneer towns along the Sierra Nevada mountains. Woodward Reservoir is a public lake located about ten miles from Oakdale. We are about 12 miles from the much larger city of Modesto, CA, with around 200,000 population. Sacramento CA is about 80 miles north of us. There are many local wineries within an hour's drive. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We did spend about three weeks boondocking about 20 miles east of Quartzsite AZ in January 2019 and enjoyed it so much we decided to invest in a real solar system for our RV. Skills or Expertise to Share: Mike is very knowledgeable about the mechanical and electrical systems of RVs, including a thorough knowledge of electronics and controls. Donna did rodeo photography inside the rodeo arena for 20 years, but no longer is active in photography except as a hobby. We are both very computer savvy and enjoy using our computer skills to connect on line with friends through alternate social media sites, such as RVillage.com and Telegram.org, to manage our farm and rentals, and to navigate when we travel.

This was my first stay at a BW host location. The hosts were very communicative and helpful in finding the place (I got lost) LOL. Once there, they greeted me at the driveway and showed me to the spot I would be in (they have two). Then once I was settled, they invited me to have a beverage and some appetizers. After that, we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. The farm is gorgeous with beautiful scenery and sunsets. The train tracks are close; but I love the sound of a train going by; so it didn't bother me and they didn't come through too often; mostly during the day and occasionally at night. A wonderful stay and I would definitely return here.

The hosts were very kind and accommodating. We felt safe and had a calm night. There is a train passing a few times a day. That didn't bother us. They have tasty fresh water that we could fill up. The dumpstation is very useful. Thank you.

We so enjoyed our stay and visiting with our hosts! They put out a marker so we would know exactly where to turn in and were right there to greet us. They allowed us to hook up to water, 30AMP power and even offered to allow us to dump if needed. They let us use their trash dumpster. We enjoyed visiting with them over a glass of wine and peanuts. We enjoyed chatting about our common political views. Thank you both so much for your hospitality!

My wife and I had such a great experience at Oakdale farms, our hosts were great, we talked with them for quiet awhile they did a lot of traveling so they had a whole lot of info on camping and what and where to go across the US. They made sure we were comfortable, they had easy access to water and electric, they also had dump station. the grounds were so nice and well kept. We have 25 foot class C and we had no problems getting in or parking, pad was very level and clean. It was a quiet place to stay with town only a few minutes away. We will defiantly stay here again when we are back in the area.
