I am located in Norfolk proper, on the Lafayette River. Parking is in the driveway. The drive is narrow, but opens up at the garage giving a very comfortable parking spot for a class B or small trailer (but be sure your backing skills are up to it!). If backed in, the drivers side faces the neighbor's back yard. The passenger side opens up to behind my house with a very nice view of the Lafayette River. You are welcome to launch a kayak, but will need to be mindful of the tides. There is no water at low tide. Suggested Local Attractions:Norfolk has a lot of history. Many attractions are a short bike ride away. Several breweries within biking distance. About 20 minutes from Ocean View Beach, 45 minutes to Virginia Beach. Norfolk has lots of water and interesting places to launch a kayak. If you watch the tide you can put in at the house and paddle to supper or to have a drink. Williamsburg about an hour away.

Location
Access Road Conditions: Access is through a city neighborhood. Drive is on a cul-de-sac, so there is plenty of turning/backing radius into the driveway. This is a single driveway which flares in front of the garage for open parking space. If pulling a small trailer, make sure your backing skills are up to it. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Street parking is available. Access is via a narrow drive only suitable for a class B or a small trailer.

We were sorry we did not get a chance to meet our host. But enjoyed the beautiful setting right on the water. Quiet neighborhood we would stay again.

Katy greeted me and helped me back in to a spot with beautiful view of the river. She encouraged me to take advantage of the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the view. Hope to visit again someday. Thank you!

Katy went out of her way to make us feel welcome, even the neighbors Pat and John came to greet us! She took the time to prepare us the safest route to reach the Elizabeth trail bike path. after the ride we enjoyed a glass of wine (maybe2😉) watching the sun set and sharing our travel stories. Perfect stop for us! Thanks again!
