You will park about 50 ft from the house. You can get water but cannot be hooked up. The only power is standard 110 outlet but generators can run during daytime hours. We live a couple miles outside of a small town Cadillac. Cadillac contains two lakes walking paths and and many local restaurants farms and small town charm. You will be able to stock up on most supplies with local shopping. Verizon service seems to be good on the property ( one guest was able to stream video) ATT reception is pretty poor. I am asking guests this summer to get more info on other carriers. Suggested Local Attractions:Lake Cadillac is a couple miles away. A bit of a longer drive to Traverse City. Sleepy bear dunes and so many other places in northern MICHIGAN

House Rules
If you smoke outside NO CIGARETTE BUTS. Be considerate of the neighborhood quiet after 10 PM. Please take the time to run a hose from the house to have water available if you choose to build a fire. We like the neighborhood how it stands. There is a firepit in back yard. It is not far and you are welcome to use it. Our backyard is pretty much just a field.
Location
Access Road Conditions: Access off of paved road. Our driveway is gravel but only about 100 ft long. If you are small you can pull through if you are over about 30 ft you may need to back in or just park on the edge of the driveway. This area does not have shade and the only electrical available is a standard 110 outlet. It is a circle drive so most should not have any problem with getting in and out. The big class A up at 35 and 40 feet have found they do need to back in. They are not able to make it around the circle. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have space available for rig and tow vehicle on property

Small town quiet people Details: We live in a small town in beautiful northern MI but do spend our spare time traveling around to warm places in winter months when we can. We hope to retire and travel. We are looking for a bit warmer place to settle. I work at a hospital as a nurse and my husband is a chaplain for Hospice. We live very conveniently just outside the small town of Cadillac MI on a 10 acre lot. There is room to roam. Home Town: We live in Cadillac MI

We had a great experience with Open Spaces. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful in selecting the right place to park our large fifth wheel. The view on their property is excellent and their dog is very happy to see you. Took their suggestion to part behind the house due to length of truck and trailer. Made it easier to swing around than the turn around in the front. And the view... Also, recommend Clam Lake Beer Co in Cadillac when you go into town to resupply. Thank you Open Spaces!

Perfect place to pull off and stop for the night right off the highway. Plenty of space to maneuver and the property was stunning! Hosts were incredibly accommodating and while they were not at home when I arrived, communication stayed open and they were very helpful during my entire stay. Five stars!

Open Spaces approved my visit even though they were gone for the evening. They answered my texts immediately when I had a parking question. Friendly hosts. Level parking.

We had a great stay at Open Spaces. Hosts greeted us and pointed out the most level space to park. Very easy location to find and they had a circular driveway which made it easy to park. our host even gave us some garden vegetables. Would highly recommend this place.

We received a response very quickly and hosts were welcoming in every way. They offered water and electric if we needed and offered a different place to park. They even sent us off with some vegetables from their garden! We are very thankful for the Martin's hospitality!
