We have plenty of parking space, but turning around in the driveway could be a challenge. If you have any questions, feel free to send us a message. We are about 15 miles north of the NYS Thruway (I-90). Suggested Local Attractions:We are not far from the scenic Finger Lakes Region of NYS. The owners are very much interested in local history and can provide suggestions for interesting historical sites & small museums to visit in the area.

House Rules

We have one 50 amp outlet as well as 15 amps available. You may need an extension cord to reach our 50 amp plug. We have an adapter if your system is 30 amps. We should be able to provide a water fill up, but a hookup is not easily accomplished. If you smoke or have pets, we would expect that you clean up after yourselves.

Retired RV'ers who enjoy meeting other travelers Details: We have a wide variety of interests. Local history and bluegrass music are among them. We are both former teachers. We have hosted bluegrass bands several times. We attend several bluegrass festivals each year as well as other travel to historic sites and places that are unique and interesting. Home Town: Ontario, NY. Our location is between Walworth and Ontario. We are about 20 miles east of Rochester and about 6 miles from Lake Ontario. This area is known for fruit growing, especially apples. Not far to the south is the Finger Lakes Wine Country. We are less than 20 miles from I-90 (NYS Thruway). Favorite Boondocking Locations: Until 2019, we had only stayed at some Walmart's, but we had a wonderful cross-country trip in August as we visited 9 BW hosts. Each experience was great. While we only joined in 2019, we are SOLD on the concept as we very much enjoy meeting people and visiting new places. Thanks to all of those who have become hosts. We are hosts when we are home. We've created an information sheet about our area and have a notebook full of brochures and other information about local attractions that we can share with you. Come see us! Skills or Expertise to Share: We have considerable experience with local history and we have been involved in promoting bluegrass music, so history and bluegrass are a couple of our passions. We are also interested in outdoor murals, antiques, and visiting scenic locations. We really enjoy living history museums and historic sites. We can supply local information to visitors.

We just ended our stay with Gene and Liz on the beautiful property. We had a lovely time chatting with them for a bit when we arrived, comparing travel stories, and then had a very peaceful quiet evening and overnight. It was fairly hot, so the electric hookup was very much appreciated. Thanks again for hosting. We would love to stay here again if our future travels bring us back to the area.

Our first Boondockers Welcome stay and we had a wonderful experience! The hosts are so sweet and welcoming. They have so much knowledge to share and we learned a lot from their experiences. Being new to RVing, the back-in to the location was a bit intimidating for us, but the host was very helpful and patient with the whole process. (A more experienced RVer will have zero problems.) We look forward to seeing them again and will definitely stay at their place when we come back through. We'll be seeing them at a Bluegrass Festival in Florida too! :)Thanks!
