Retired couple who enjoy meeting other travelers Details: We have a wide variety of interests. Local history and bluegrass music are among them. We are both former teachers. We attend several bluegrass festivals each year as well as other travel to historic sites and places that are unique and interesting. We have different RV's for different situations so in one instance we might be traveling in our Class B motorhome and other times with a travel trailer pulled by our pickup truck. We usually spend a few weeks in Florida during the winter. We have visited most of the Continental US over the past 12 years. Home Town: Ontario, NY. Our location is between Walworth and Ontario. We are about 20 miles east of Rochester and about 6 miles from Lake Ontario. This area is known for fruit growing, especially apples. Not far to the south is the Finger Lakes Wine Country. We are less than 20 miles from I-90 (NYS Thruway). Favorite Boondocking Locations: Until 2019, we had only stayed at some Walmart's, but we had a wonderful cross-country trip in August 2019 as we visited 9 BW hosts. Each experience was great. While we only joined in 2019, we are SOLD on the concept as we very much enjoy meeting people and visiting new places. Thanks to all of those who have become hosts. We are hosts when we are home. We've created an information sheet about our area and have a notebook full of brochures and other information about local attractions that we can share with you. Come see us! Skills or Expertise to Share: We have considerable experience with local history and we have been involved in promoting bluegrass music, so history and bluegrass are a couple of our passions. We are also interested in outdoor murals, antiques, and visiting scenic locations. We really enjoy living history museums and historic sites. We can supply local information to visitors.

Gene & Liz were great hosts!! This is the 2nd time that we have stayed here, very nice parking and 50 amp power available. Very knowledgeable on the local area. Very enjoyable to talk with, however they don't make you feel like you have to spend time with them. Very enjoyable stay!

Gene and Liz were truly the perfect hosts. What a lovely and interesting couple! Communication was excellent and every detail was spot on with my overnight visit. Not only were they gracious and welcoming, but they were very generous with local knowledge and information, too. We had a very nice visit upon my arrival and they made me feel very welcome at their immaculately maintained property.

We just ended our stay with Gene and Liz on the beautiful property. We had a lovely time chatting with them for a bit when we arrived, comparing travel stories, and then had a very peaceful quiet evening and overnight. It was fairly hot, so the electric hookup was very much appreciated. Thanks again for hosting. We would love to stay here again if our future travels bring us back to the area.
