Easy going farm boy Details: I guess I'm what you would call "your average Joe". Grew up on a small farm in Southern Indiana, and then moved to east-central Illinois about 36 years ago when I went to work at a local refinery. I love the out doors and spend much of my free time (and there is never enough) piddling around our 32 acre "farm", doing some motorcycle or ATV riding, or maybe in the woods hunting. My wife is a nurse, and my best friend. We enjoy traveling all over the country when we have the time. Home Town: Flat Rock, Illinois Great big town of about 350 good folks. If you're looking for action and lots of excitement, this ain't the place. If you're looking for a place that's pretty quiet, peaceful, and laid-back, then come and give us a visit! Favorite Boondocking Locations: Up to this point, the only boondocking we've done has been at a few Wal-marts, truck stops, and rest areas. Skills or Expertise to Share: I’m an auto/diesel mechanic by trade, but haven’t made a living in that profession for many years. I’m still pretty handy with a wrench, and a decent electrician and plumber when duty calls.

Very quiet and private spot! Loved waking up and seeing the barn cats. Host was very nice and welcoming. Would recommend!

Mark communicated with me prior to our arrival to let me know where to park. He greeted us when we arrived. We enjoyed watching the kittens play and felt unhurried to leave as we waited for some thunderstorms to pass. It was a great place to stay in the country and Mark left us an electric connection to help us with the heat and humidity.

Great place to spend the night! I was able to plug in and keep my campervan cool. Lots of area for my pup to stretch her legs and even meet a few farm cats. Very gracious hosts.

This boondockers welcome location was amazing! The host was incredibly hospitable and helpful. Great conversationalist as we enjoyed talking to him. We explored a bit of the property and had fun meeting his pets. Even though it’s slightly off the major highway, it’s still accessible and worth the stay.
