Easy going farm boy Details: I guess I'm what you would call "your average Joe". Grew up on a small farm in Southern Indiana, and then moved to east-central Illinois about 36 years ago when I went to work at a local refinery. I love the out doors and spend much of my free time (and there is never enough) piddling around our 32 acre "farm", doing some motorcycle or ATV riding, or maybe in the woods hunting. My wife is a nurse, and my best friend. We enjoy traveling all over the country when we have the time. Home Town: Flat Rock, Illinois Great big town of about 350 good folks. If you're looking for action and lots of excitement, this ain't the place. If you're looking for a place that's pretty quiet, peaceful, and laid-back, then come and give us a visit! Favorite Boondocking Locations: Up to this point, the only boondocking we've done has been at a few Wal-marts, truck stops, and rest areas. Skills or Expertise to Share: I’m an auto/diesel mechanic by trade, but haven’t made a living in that profession for many years. I’m still pretty handy with a wrench, and a decent electrician and plumber when duty calls.

Mark was just great! Response time was quick, it was easy to find and easy to park. We had a wonderful chat with Mark who made us feel welcome and comfortable. He mentioned his dogs barking but we had our heat pump on and didn’t hear a thing. The cats were adorable and didn’t bother us.

It was easy to locate and our host waited at the road so that we didn't miss it. We found a level spot and plugged in for the night. We enjoyed the convenience and hospitality here. Indeed, there were alot of barncats. Fun to watch as we are cat lovers and our travelling senior cat had no issues with her stay here eiither. The dogs were penned and enthusiastic, but once we settled in for the night we forgot all about them. I can see why someone called them polar bears, Pyrenees are beautiful creatures. We definately recommend this location for other members.

All is good in Flat Rock. Mark is easy going we had a lot of things in common to talk about KLR 650s was the main topic. He did try more than once to give us a cat or two but, that didn't work. Thanks, again for sharing your place with us. Until next time ride, ride, ride and then ride some more.
