This is our tiny piece of heaven on Lake Murray. It is on an impounded portion of the lake which means there is a road that separates this portion from the "big water". No boats with anything larger than a trolling motor are allowed on this portion of the lake. There is a marina two minutes from me if you want access to the main lake. We recently built our house on our property. I will give you access to two kayaks (if I am there) and the dock. There is a fire pit on the property as well. The sunrises here are amazing if the weather agrees. Please make sure that if you open the fence, you close it so our dogs stay in. Suggested Local Attractions:The town of Prosperity and Newberry are small. Nice towns but not much to see in either place. Leesville and Batesburg are also nearby but also small. There are a few restaurants in all of these places. The closest grocery store is about 10 miles out but there is a Dollar General about 4 miles away. There is a gas station that has basics and you can get your fishing license and bait there. It is 45 miles from Columbia, SC. It is about 10 miles to Dreher Island State Park.

House Rules

No smoking unless it is in your rig. NO illicit drugs at all. Feel free to drink but please, do not fall off the dock! No small children due to the fact this is on the water and there is NO fence to keep them off the dock nor out of the water. There are no railings on the walkway or the dock!! Bring your fishing pole. :-) You can get a license online, Walmart, at the local gas station, or the at the nearby marina. Bass, perch, and bluegill are the most common fish we catch. If you have your own kayak, canoe, or paddle board, feel free to bring it. No running generators after 10 p.m. I have a pit bull and he gets along with most dogs. Because I have neighbors that have dogs and the fact that my property is NOT fenced I ask that you not bring your pet. * No large ground covers for more than a day to prevent grass damage...unless it is on the gravel part of the property. Smile and have a great time!!!

Enjoyed my stay at PaddleInn. Nice waterfront spot...Great for kayaking! The weather was hot so it was great to have electricity available. PaddleInn was not on-site but communicated necessary info and answered questions so my stay went smoothly! Due to a change in plans I had to leave early and that was not a problem for her. Hope to meet the host next time through!
