Location is on an acre of our property, our house is nearby, land is grass cleared with oak trees and a couple of drainage ponds. It has our greenhouses and plants nearby, so our workers might drive nearby on a tractor or quad on occasion. The nights are dark and great for star watching. We are adjacent to a couple of other growing grounds, and some friendly neighbors who have large properties. You are free to take a short (or long) walk aroung our place and up and down the quiet streets, it's a walk in the country! Suggested Local Attractions:There are 4 casinos within a 15 mile radius, and a few restaurants and small stores down the highway a couple of miles. We have good phone reception up here. The Palomar Mountain Observatory is a half hour drive to the top tof the mountain (currently closed due to covid, hoping it will open soon).

Wholesale nursery owners- Palomar Mesa Growers Details: We have been married for 37 years, and have lived on our property here since 1988. We bought it as an old lemon grove with one little house, now it's a wholesale nursery with a (somewhat) bigger house that we live in. We raised our two boys here in rural Pauma Valley, going to a small K-8 school, then Valley Center for high school. on a mesa in the foothills of Palomar Mountain-our place has a beautiful view of the mountain in our "backyard". We are volunteer Fire Lookouts for Palomar Mountain/Cleveland National Forest; we go up for a day several times a year. We are preparing to retire in a few years so we can RV across the country! Home Town: Pauma Valley, CA - The area is mostly citrus and avocado groves, nursery growing grounds and farms, but for the city life we have four casinos within a 15 mile radius. We live on a mesa in the foothills of Palomar Mountain-our place has a beautiful view of the mountain in our "backyard". We have plenty of extra room for guests; however, it is a working farm so there might be a tractor or quad driving by on occasion, along with some neighborhood geese and migratory ducks. There are a few restaurants and stores nearby - it is a very peaceful and scenic place to hang! Favorite Boondocking Locations: Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and Palomar Mountain are the two favorites. We are looking forward to finding a lot more! Skills or Expertise to Share: Craig is a skilled and experienced Horticulturalist, and we have run this farm for over 30 years, so any kinds of minor repairs and jobs can be taken care of. Joyce is not a bad cook, either...

We enjoyed talking with Joyce and Craig! They graciously allowed us to choose our spot in a large area so we could take advantage of putting out our solar panels. The sunset on the hills was lovely! We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and were refreshed and ready to continue our journey!

A lovely, no-frills, nature-filled stay on a working farm just outside of Temecula. Enjoyed the winding drive up the mountains to get there, and the peace and quiet after we arrived. I loved freely exploring the grounds with my pup and admiring the citrus groves that surround the property. Great communication and a friendly welcome when we arrived. Thank you, Craig!

Much needed solitude that is hard to find in the San Diego area. Having water available and a place for a fire was a plus. The live Mexican music from the neighbor was also a plus. Made it even more special
