RV owner since 1989 that loves to travel Details: My wife and I live on 15 acres with a stocked 2 acre pond in a 5 bedroom house that we built. House has attached garage and shop that is climate controlled for our antique car collection as well as our motor-home. We typically spend the winters in Sarasota Florida, but are back home when the grass starts to grow, as I do all the yard maintenance here as well as on various rental properties. My wife and I both love to travel so we tend to sneak away as much as possible when not occupied with doting on the grandchildren, fishing and hunting on our 245 acre farm, or other summertime activities. Home Town: Arthur, IL. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We actually kinda like Walmart:) Skills or Expertise to Share: Have a well stocked shop with car lifts, power tools etc. Also have typical farm equipment such as tractors, crawlers etc.

Many thanks to Alvie and Elsie for a restful night on their beautiful farm. We enjoyed a much needed, peaceful walk after a long drive. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property and being such accommodating hosts!

This was our first Harvest Hosts ever, and I'm so glad of that! Alvie helped us back into a nice level spot. He also helped my husband adjust some things with our hitch because it was making a loud noise. They let the kids play in the yard and ride their bikes. We enjoyed getting to know more about them and share with them our own stories of home. In addition to a delicious cup of coffee on our first morning they gave us a local guide, offered suggestions, and really made us feel at home. Yoder's Kitchen had the best fried chicken of anywhere we've been! We are really blessed to know them now and would definately stay with them again!

Beautiful country setting with concrete pad or grassy pond setting for RV. Thank you so much for the stay in the serene setting of the clip/clop of the Amish horses & buggy land. Very cordial and friendly couple who bought us fresh muffins & tomatoes before we left. It felt like leaving our old friends. 🤗
