Great stay in Salcha with nice location. The hosts offered electric, dump and water, which was very nice. We didn’t any of these but would have been useful if we did. Their adult son helped us to get situated and was very kind. We would stay again.

We stayed with Sherry and Gary for 4 nights. We originally only planned on 2 but they were gracious in letting us continue to add days. They invited us into their beautiful house and we shared stories of family and travel. They have a huge family and we got to meet several of their children and grandchildren. We cannot say more about their hospitality. Thank you very much! We hope to see you on the road one day.

Wow, the bar was set very high with this fabulous stay. Paradise in the Woods is not an exaggeration nor are the reviews on this page. Gary and Sherry are gracious hosts and we instantly felt at home. They were quick to answer any messages and when one message got missed, they called to make sure we were ok. Upon arriving at their property, we were greeted just as family would be. They invited us into their home, taken for a ride on their ATV’s and invited to join the family at a local water spot for an afternoon of fun. The worst part was we had to leave. As we were packing up they made sure we were aware of road closures and alternate routes. I’m not sure who was more sad as we pulled away. We are grateful for the amazing “last day in Alaska” memories and know our first stop in the state, if we ever get the chance to make it that far north again.
