We live on Paradise Mountain in Valley Center. Our 3 acre property is covered in Oak Trees and rocks with a beautiful, natural rock swimming pool/spa. We have hiking areas, a small fishing lake, casinos, wineries and Bates Nut Farm all within 3-5 miles. It feels like a peaceful mountain retreat here with lots of natural wildlife (deer, squirrels, birds, quail and more) visiting us daily.

House Rules

We do not allow smoking or open wood or charcol fires due to the high fire risk area we live in. Electric or Propane BBQ and fire pits are allowed. We do have Oak firewood for sale if you want to take it with you for the rest of your trip. We will allow 1-2 dogs with our guests but they must be leashed at all times due to the wildlife on the property and because our property is not fully fenced. No generators after 10 pm. Enjoy your stay and come again!

Location

The area where you will park is dirt. It is shaded by large Oak trees and has a small, seasonal creek. There is a picnic table under the trees for your pleasure. There is room for your tow vehicle to park as well. If your overall length (including tow vehicle/trailer) exceeds 40 feet please contact us directly to discuss. There is a gate to access the property.

We had such a great time staying here! They were so hospitable and kind. Our kids didn't want to go! We were so grateful for them to share their beautiful property with us. We have a 35ft 5th wheeler and it fit just great and we were able to hook up to power. Chris took the time to help us in and out. They also gave us amazing recommendations in the San Diego area and other places! We will definitely be back sometime and look forward to it!

We had such a lovely time here! Sharon and Chris were so hospitable and kind. Chris met us there when we showed up and showed us where to park and walked us through where his hook ups were. He’s put a lot of work into making it a really lovely space to camp. follow the detailed directions that they give you especially if you have a bigger rig like we have. We have a 37 foot RV with a 22 foot trailer and were able to make it in just fine though we did have to disconnect the trailer once we pulled in to turn around – we have a vehicle with us so that wasn’t a problem. We felt like family right away and is one of our best camping experiences in the last three years.

This Boondockers profile says they allow pets but denied our stay for us having dogs. I would not recommend requesting them unless you have no pets. HOST RESPONSE: We have a dog and have had many of our previous guests bring 1 or 2 dogs. We were not able to accept your request since you later informed us, only when we asked for more information, that you actually have 4 large breed dogs over 70 lbs. each rather than the “4 pups” you listed in your profile. We did offer you a suggestion for another, larger Boondocker property 20 minutes away as an alternative. It is unfortunate you did not fully review our profile prior to requesting a stay to see that we can only allow 1-2 dogs.
