We are on the water (Atlantic Ocean) in a small fishing community - our neighbours are all fisherman and if they like you fish or lobster may be on the menu. It is quiet and unique. We have two exuberant Portuguese Water Dog puppies (3 years old in summer of 2020) so it's best if you like dogs! Suggested Local Attractions:Lunenburg with all it's attractions is about 10 minutes away. Mahone Bay is 20 minutes, Peggy's Cove is a little more than an hour (towards Halifax). The major shopping town (Walmart, etc) is about 30 minutes away.

Access Road Conditions: It is a small recently paved road with lots of curves but easily traveled. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have a large gravel area for parking. There is also a large parking area on the street (which is a very small road that dead ends at our house).

New to truck camping, long term sailboat cruising Details: We're pretty low key, enjoy our quiet lifestyle in a small fishing community in Nova Scotia. Originally from Toronto, but having moved here in 1999, we have no regrets escaping the city life. We run a small business from our home creating and selling activities for people with dementia, enjoy boating and hope to enjoy truck camping just as much. Home Town: Originally from Toronto, but happily settled here in Stonehurst NS since 1999. Stonehurst is a small fishing community (just a few houses) about 10 minutes from Lunenburg. We LOVE it. Favorite Boondocking Locations: None yet, but we hope to build a long list. Skills or Expertise to Share: We are long time sailboat cruisers, having traveled to the Caribbean and Bahamas several times on our boats. We have a great woodworking shop (necessary to maintain our wooden boats).

What a great spot to overnight! We enjoyed meeting our hosts (and their dogs). They were very accommodating. They are located on the water in a nice quiet area. Outstanding stay!

This was our first BW experience and it couldn’t have been better. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. And what a beautiful, nice and quiet place they have. Thanks again for sharing all that with us.

We stayed for three nights. Beautiful spot, great views and great people! Howard and Donna went way beyond anything you expect from a BW host! I hope some day we get to meet them again and return the favour!
