We are on 8.5 acres in a fairly rural area, but we do have neighbors. We have a pavilion and firepit that you are welcome to use. You are welcome to enjoy the property, check out the goats, walk down to the small pond in the back field. We can put the goats in another area to provide a large area for your dog(s) to run. We do have a train that does visit the area occasionally to pick up gravel at the local quarry. The latest run is typically between 9 and 10:30p so you may hear a horn blow. Details: We are busy with life, but really enjoy meeting new people. We love to travel. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Home Town: We live in beautiful north Frederick County Maryland. It is a rural area, but only 15 minutes away for restaurants and stores, etc. We have grown up in this area. We are about an hour from Baltimore or Washington DC. If you like history, we are 17 miles from Gettysburg, 45 from Antietam. Frederick, Gettysburg and Westminster are the closest 'big' towns with plenty of small shops, restaurants, breweries, and bars. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Our favorite boondocking site is always our next boondocking site! Excited to try new locations. Skills or Expertise to Share: I've been in the IT industry for 30+ years and recently retired. We are handy in many things and if we can't figure something out, we probably know someone who can. We can probably help with any electronics/computer support.

Very nice stay, with very nice hosts, from arrival to departure. Helped me set up and had great suggestions. Not far from lots of history, and lots to do that I just happened upon. Will definitely stay here again if they will have me. p.s. thought I had previously left review, sorry so late... g.

We stayed here while visiting Gettysburg and Washington DC. This family was wonderful! So thoughtful and caring. We loved getting to know the human hosts as much as their adorable dogs. The spot is next to a beautiful barn and when that wind started blowing we were thankful for the extra protection. We cant wait to come back through and stop and say hi to our new RV friends! For sure a great hidden gem, only 20 mins to Gettysburg and a little over an hour to DC.

Nice, quiet, level, safe spot. Nice rolling hills. Very pretty place. Easy in and out. Just take your time getting turned around, have a spotter. We enjoyed touring the area from here. Gettysburg, a must see, Taneytown and Frederick. They have a few dogs and we have 2 little dogs that are scared of....eveything.lol. The hosts were very kind and understanding about this. We never had any issue. It was a lovely place to stay. Power and water too!
