We are on 8.5 acres in a fairly rural area, but we do have neighbors. We have a pavilion and firepit that you are welcome to use. You are welcome to enjoy the property, check out the goats, walk down to the small pond in the back field. We can put the goats in another area to provide a large area for your dog(s) to run. We do have a train that does visit the area occasionally to pick up gravel at the local quarry. The latest run is typically between 9 and 10:30p so you may hear a horn blow. Details: We are busy with life, but really enjoy meeting new people. We love to travel. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Home Town: We live in beautiful north Frederick County Maryland. It is a rural area, but only 15 minutes away for restaurants and stores, etc. We have grown up in this area. We are about an hour from Baltimore or Washington DC. If you like history, we are 17 miles from Gettysburg, 45 from Antietam. Frederick, Gettysburg and Westminster are the closest 'big' towns with plenty of small shops, restaurants, breweries, and bars. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Our favorite boondocking site is always our next boondocking site! Excited to try new locations. Skills or Expertise to Share: I've been in the IT industry for 30+ years and recently retired. We are handy in many things and if we can't figure something out, we probably know someone who can. We can probably help with any electronics/computer support.

The hosts were very kind and we had a great time at their place. We got to meet some of their family too. Our kids loved to spent time with either the goats or the dogs (I couldn’t who was the most tired between the dogs or our kids). The green lush pastures were a great background for our staying over there. They were kind enough to share electricity and water hook ups with us. Also, it was at a great dining distance of both Washington and the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. They have detailed insights into tourists attractions and also helped with locating a Dairy / Gluten free friendly grocery.

It’s was just a quick overnight but such are great stop for our family. Juanita was warm and inviting. She provided us with information for activities for our kids. We were able to enjoy a relaxing evening with a beautiful sunset before finishing the last leg of our journey home.

Was a wonderful experience, totally enjoyed our stay with Juanita & Greg, Juanita was gracious enough to call and direct us in to make sure we had the best route in, and greeted us with open arms on our arrival. Navigated us in the spot and offered assistance in getting us settled., was such a comfortable reception, even though we had a later arrival than expected, with a last minute change of plans - welcoming us a day early at that. The weather was crappy so we really didn’t get to spend a lot of time with them and unfortunately never got to meet Greg, but we were certainly made to feel welcome and comfortable while we there even calling to check up on us. Was just a great experience, great people and would truly do it again, or suggest them to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, quiet, place to spend the night or few days. Truly hope to see them again one day, certainly would stay again passing through. Thanks for everything - Bob and Dorothy Richter

Greg and Juanita were amazing hosts with great communication and excellent accomodations. They had water and 30amp service at two locationd and gave us the choice of where we wanted to park. Amazing property with lots of activities within driving distance. even with the rain and cold weather we had a great 3 days.
