We are on 8.5 acres in a fairly rural area, but we do have neighbors. We have a pavilion and firepit that you are welcome to use. You are welcome to enjoy the property, check out the goats, walk down to the small pond in the back field. We can put the goats in another area to provide a large area for your dog(s) to run. We do have a train that does visit the area occasionally to pick up gravel at the local quarry. The latest run is typically between 9 and 10:30p so you may hear a horn blow. Looking forward to spending more time on the road, but still working for now. Details: We are busy with work and life, but really enjoy meeting new people. We love to travel. We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Home Town: We live in beautiful north Frederick County Maryland. It is a rural area, but only 15 minutes away for restaurants and stores, etc. We have grown up in this area. We are about an hour from Baltimore or Washington DC. If you like history, we are 17 miles from Gettysburg, 45 from Antietam. Frederick, Gettysburg and Westminster are the closest 'big' towns with plenty of small shops, restaurants, breweries, and bars. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Our favorite boondocking site is always our next boondocking site! Excited to try new locations. Skills or Expertise to Share: I've been in the IT industry for 30 years. We are handy in many things and if we can't figure something out, we probably know someone who can. We can probably help with any electronics/computer support.

We stayed one night. The setting was peaceful and beautiful. We were greeted by friendly goats. (From behind their fence) We never met our hosts face to face, as they arrived home late and we departed early, but we did have a telephone conversation, during which Pfisterville provided us with useful advice for scenic drives in the area. Thanks, folks.

Pfisterville was my first stay after joining Boondockers. They communicated with me right away to help with directions and other details. My arrival time was much later than I originally planned but they were very accommodating. The site was nice and quiet, highly recommended.

We are new to Boondockers and Pfisterville was our very first stay. 'Nita has set the bar high for any future stays! She was happy to welcome us, we felt at home right away. Easy to find, easy to park, easy to level. Watching the goats and feeding them our scraps was an added plus. We will definitely be back.

Tremendous hosts - in a beautiful location. Hosts were EXTREMELY friendly and helpful in getting us set up. They have a large dedicated paved parking sport next to their barn, with water and electricity hookups. Very quiet there with relaxing views of Maryland countryside. Will stay there again - Thanks Nita & Greg!
