We have a 1/2 acre on the lake and you will be parked most likely on the circular part of the driveway in front of our home where it is fairly level. When time permits, we enjoy spending time in the evening sitting out back overlooking the lake, watching the birds feed and getting to know our guests while swapping stories. We are also ok if you are not up to visiting. We would be glad to recommend nearby hikes and paddling. We are 2 miles from the nearest grocery store. No smoking allowed on property. All children and pets must be closely supervised due to the lake and do not let them chase any of the many birds and ducks that come to feed . You may swim, fish (need a Fl. lic. if over 16) or paddle around the lake. You may borrow our canoe to explore the lake. We have good cell signal for Verizon and ATT. We have a 30 amp RV electrical hookup and request a $10 a night donation if using the electric. One free water fill up per stay with the electric fee or for water only fill is $5. You may run your generator during hours of 8am to 10 pm. We are doing a lot of renovations and adding on to the back of the house this winter (2022) so there may be deliveries or workers arriving early in the a.m. during your stay. We sometimes take short trips while we are in Florida in the winter, so please be patient with us if it takes us a day or so to get back to you. Suggested Local Attractions: Trout lake nature center. There is some nice hiking and paddling within 1/2 hr away from home that we can tell you about. We are about 20 minutes from Mount Dora which is a great little town for shopping and antiquing and the flea market is there on the weekends. Eustis has music and events in the downtown area the first Friday evening of every month. You agree to release us (the Hosts) from any liability for any injuries to your person or any other persons in your party or pets and for any damage that may occur to your vehicles.

This place is BEAUTIFUL, seems a dream house to me. Both my 4 yr old daughter and myself really enjoyed here. Also, Diane & Ken treated us just like family, spared time to play with my daughter and gave me so many advice for my travel plan. We both feel like home when we stay there. I can't thank the host enough for how much they helped me! I encountered some issue receiving my mail, Diane was so patient to help me solve the problem and shipped out the delayed mail after I left there. This stay is definitely an unforgettable experience and we will come back in the future. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful location surrounded by nature with very kind and welcoming hosts. As a relatively new RV'er, I am especially grateful to Ken and Dianne for sharing pro-tips and helping me troubleshoot a handful of things that were easily amended by RV veterans. Thank you both for all of the advice! I look forward to seeing the renovation progress during future visits!

Nice place to stay in front of her house next to the lake. Dianne was making sure we had everything we needed round the clock and gave us a lot of recommendations on what to do in the area. Natural area around there. Thank you. Great communication via text and phone.

I had a most pleasant stay at Lakeside Retreat. The setting was delightful and picturesque. The hosts were friendly and very welcoming, as well as knowledgeable about RVing and Boondocking. This was my first boon docking experience. I would choose this site again and definitely recommend it to others. I was especially impressed with the invitation extended to me to go on an after dinner walk with them. When I left, I was buoyed by the experience. And continue to hold memories of a great first experience.

Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating! We met another nice boondocking couple from Washington and all six of us had a great, fun evening of conversation. Our hosts invited us to have dinner on their patio with them our last night there where we enjoyed more conversation. They also gave us a beautiful piece of salmon! The pure water is from their well, which we welcomed, as it was so good! We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much Pinecone Ranch! All the best for your future!
