Welcome to Pinesong. * WINTER CONDITIONS * We have had our first snow, and it is likely we will have more. 4x4 advised. Currently the spots are snowed and not icy, as of November 7. Check with me for updated road status. *WITNER CONDITIONS* These are spots that are not accessible by trailer, or large RV's. I am on a private dead-end dirt road, right at the base of a mountain, just east of Columbia Falls, MT. Peaceful wooded environment, horses next door. Enjoy the sound of the wind in the treetops, and the birds. Take a walk and dangle your feet off the foot bridge, into the creek. Suggested Local Attractions:Glacier National Park, home of Going to the Sun road (only open approx July thru Sept), is about 20 minutes away. There are several attractions along the river, including rafting, and helicopter tours. We also have Big Mountain ski area (now known as Whitefish Mountain Resort), along with the tourist towns of Whitefish and Bigfork. Bigfork is home of the Wild Mile, a kayak race down the river. There are also lots of hiking, and snowmobiling opportunities. Pets: Pets who are friendly towards people and dogs are welcome. Please do not let pets loose on the grounds unsupervised. And do not leave them alone on premises, even in your rv. Local Services: If you are going to resupply at a grocery store, I recommend Super 1 in Columbia Falls. I am pretty sure it has the biggest grocery store parking lot in the valley, and there is easy RV parking while you shop. If you are in need of service for your RV, we have the best place, right here in the valley. Northwest Automotive Fleet Services. (trust me, they do RV's too) They recognize that people bringing RV's in for service may be traveling in them and do their best to accommodate. Availability: If it's not listed as available to book on my calendar, then it's not available to book at this time.

House Rules

Most important rule is to have a great time No smoking anywhere on the property please. During the summer this area often has active fire restrictions. Please check with me before using the fire pit, to make sure we are not under county fire restrictions during your visit. Friendly dogs (friendly both towards people and other dogs) are welcome. They may be off leash on site. I have a very friendly dog who will spend all day trying to get your dog to play with him. Do not park on the grass. Please only park on the gravel. For this spot, you may only pull in during daylight.

Love to be on the move. Details: I got my first RV in March of 2014. In the first year I put nearly 30,000 miles on, and I am still loving it at over 100,000 miles! I love the idea of being able to travel and change my schedule without too much effort. And that if I find a great place to visit, I can take a detour and go there. Home Town: Columbia Falls, MT Favorite Boondocking Locations: I am always looking for new favorite places. Right now my favorite for boondocking is a BLM site along the Columbia River near the Dalles. Skills or Expertise to Share: Sidecar Monkey. Yes, the one that hangs off the side at 100+ mph. It's quite a rush! (I am not sure if that is a skill, or just a crazy experience!) I have also raised and milked goats, made various goat milk products from ice cream to soap. I have a bit of experience with efficiency in RV-ing. :)
