This is my "hobby farm". We rescue Pot Belly Pigs and Goats. We have chickens that free range (fresh eggs are free). We do have dogs - non agressive to humans and other animals but dogs are dogs - it's best to be cautious if you happen to see one of ours running around. We try to stay with them when guests are here. Working on a fenced off area for them to be contained when guests are here. Our little Farm is a WORK IN PROGRESS. We are doing many upgrades and remodeling--and sometimes we are at the mercy of the rain or the contractors. So don't be alarmed if you pull up and see a pile of tin or a pile of wood here and there--We are getting to it all as fast as we can during these crazy times. It's not a mess by any means but sometimes they put things where they are "visible" and it drives me crazy. But if you can look past it and know we are getting there--that's all we ask. Suggested Local Attractions:Perot Theater, Downtown Texarkana (historic district), Spring Lake Park (home of the famous Town That Dreaded Sundown Sundown Phantom Killer), area lakes and rivers. Fouke, AR home of the Boggy Creek Monster. Scott Joplin Museum.

Just a Girl on A Small Farm Details: I'm a Freelance Accounting Specialist and I travel the US working remotely for clients. Rarely do they know I'm docked in the woods somewhere enjoying nature and numbers. LGBTTTQQIAA Friendly (I think I got em all in there). The property is well protected and we do have security cameras OUTSIDE - they are not to film you--they are to watch for coyotes and wild dogs that tend to bother our pigs/chickens at night. But if we do catch the occasional prowler on the property with ill intents we show them to the pigs. It's Texas what did you expect? If you are invited here you will be safe. Can't review someone that doesn't reply to stay requests. We never heard back, so we made other plans. Probably best to avoid this host until they get communications figured out. It'll save you some frustration.

Hi Everyone. sorry for the inconvenience. I have been unable to access the app until now and am still unable to block off the calendar. We have relocated and are under construction. I hope to be able to get the calendar blocked off soon. I'm so sorry for everyone's frustration 😔

I feel if Harvest Host looks at these reviews they may not have this host back. So many people getting no response from this Host. It was us as well. We just moved on but gave them several days to respond to us. We would have loved to visit but it didn't happen. Thanks anyway

Submitted request to stay, when I hadn't heard back the next day, attempted to message the host for feedback. During our travel day, kept checking for some kind of outreach, but no joy. Had to go with “Plan B”. Canceled our request so as not to leave the host hanging. Very disappointed as it sounds like a fantastic experience and a welcoming host.
