Snowbird RVers. Love Bluegrass he is a guitar picker, she is watercolour artist. Flyers, old car buff. Retired. Details: We are in our mid seventies. He is a retired heating and air conditioning contractor. She is retired sign shop owner and previously, secretary. We enjoy camping and travelling. We live in the country, close to a city of about 110,000. He is in the process of restoring a Model A car and is a tinkerer of everything. She enjoys watercolour painting. He is a private pilot . We have family in Texas (Houston and Dallas) and spend Christmas with them and sometimes spend the winter there but most winters we spend in Florida. We have an apartment in the basement of our house and most times it is rented and someone is here in case there is a problem. Home Town: Thunder Bay, Ontario Favorite Boondocking Locations: We boondocked our way from Thunder Bay, Ontario to Lodi, California, via a stop in Houston to visit family - 2 winters ago. Had amazing hosts and really enjoyed the trip. We also used Marianne's e books to find out of the way spots for "shunpiking". The accuracy of her directions is perfect. Skills or Expertise to Share: He can fix almost anything. So can she. Today she was bucking rivets on the airplane door. She is the computer guru but still has a lot to learn. Doesn't anyone over 40?

We had a great stay with Bill and PJ and enjoyed meeting their friend one evening and convinced them that trailer life was good. Bill and PJ are great hosts and sitting around talking and listing to Bill play the guitar and sing was assume. Thanks guys, see you again when we come to visit our son in ThunderBay.

We had a delightful stay with Bill and PJ. They were very gracious as we dropped off our trailer and headed to Kakabeka Falls, just 20 minutes on the back roads with Bill's precise directions. Impressive falls even with lower water levels (a 2 hour pass is plenty of time unless you want to hike the more difficult trail further down). We enjoyed another evening of visiting with our BW hosts. They've had an interesting life and returned to the family property and built a beautiful round house near the Slate River Valley. Bill happened on an amethyst vein some years back. Ask them about that. P.J. is an artist and will share some of her work if you ask to see it. For people who think BW is all about driveways haven't checked out many. Even though our spot was technically the front drive, it's surrounded by trees and feels pretty isolated (some traffic noise during the day, but mostly out of sight). It's been interesting visiting with folks who have lifetime connections to their place - very different that our city life. I would have enjoyed hearing Bill's music, but it was time to head out.
