We use to be a small family farm, but no longer have any livestock so now we’re a home in the country. A large yard with mature trees and electric fencing on three sides for our pastures, which hold a few of the neighbor's horses. The neighbors we do have are all hundreds of yards away so running generators is acceptable. Quiet surroundings just keep in mind being this is middle GA so expect gnats and bugs in the spring and summertime.

Access Road Conditions: Gravel driveway is appropriate for one vehicle at a time. We have hanging branches in one spot of the driveway that may effect rigs that are 16' high. We do have very high branches throughout rest of yard/docking location. Turning around is not a drive through but able to accomplish with backing up and turning around. Tight 2-point turn is doable for experienced travelers while other drivers may make a 5-6 point turn around. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Gravel driveway (250ft) with a small up hill incline and a rural road out front that has some traffic; mainly going to work and returning home at end of the day. Also toad vehicles can park any where in yard or beside rig.

Retired and thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and trying new foods.. Details: I am somewhat of an adventurous spirit and willingly to try just about anything. I enjoy the outdoors in mild temperatures, hiking, swimming, going new places and meeting new people. At one time "R Promised Land" was a small family livestock farm so I also likes animals. I am thrilled to learn about new people and where they have been in their lives. I love my grandchildren, horseback riding and dabble in oil painting. Home Town: I have a somewhat rural setting in between two different small cities. Either of the two locations will offer grocery stores, hardware stores, restaurants, automotive stores, drug stores, hospitals, doctors, gas stations-including diesel and Walmart. Favorite Boondocking Locations: I have used several boondocking locations and sampling them left me with a very positive experience. It's my heart desire to continue creating many memories for myself and the hosts. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am willing to pitch in and help in anyway that I’m able. I thoroughly enjoy painting houses inside or out.

"R" Promised Land was our saviors from Hurricane Ian. When we left our home base north of Tampa, FL, on Tuesday morning, the storm was aimed directly at us. My wife and I were warmly greeted and our hosts were the best examples of what Boondockers Welcome is all about. Even their beautiful Irish Setter was there to greet us with some kisses and let us pet her. As a remote worker, I enjoyed watching the white and gray horses out of my Class A windows and the wonderful rural scenery. I enjoyed our conversations with Ms. Rita and her daughter Rachel and hope to meet up with them again. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the great hospitality and making my wife and I feel at home.

Rita and Remi were great host. We parked ourselves and picked a spot in the shade of trees. Well maintained grassy area, and our labs loved running around and meeting Remi (the red setter). Rita joined us later in the evening to chat and enjoy a wine. So good to share life stories together. Thank you Rita for the Maple butter. We will stop again some day when passing through the area.

Rita is a lovely host. She showed us around the property and gave us choices of several parking spots. Remi greeted us in the morning with his gentle nose poking in the camper door. Wish I could have stayed longer.

First Boondockers Welcome stay and not sure it can be beat! Rita is the sweetest host. We had a quick overnight stay but would definitely go back. Level parking, peaceful, and plenty of space for dog walking. Rita’s dog (Remi) is beautiful, and Rita even gave us some homemade maple butter!
