We recently had issues with code enforcement. This will restrict the amenities we had in the past. Sites availability only if you can comply with the following. NO use of slideouts, No awnings, no outside rugs or chairs by camper. Set chairs by fire pit or feel free to sit at table and chairs inside the screened pool area. Code enforcement officer said that RVs on property can not appear to be occupied for residence. She has no way of knowing where anyone is sleeping after she is off duty. (lol - her words). It is ok to have RVs plugged into power but not hooked to water. Water is available so fill tank and disconnect hose. You will need to haul out your own trash please. It is VERY important that you let me know your power ability in your request. Need to know if you have generator and or solar to determine which site is available and best suits your needs. power hook up is available 50, 30 or 20 amp. Can't run generator so plan on solar or hook to power. You must have your profile with at least the minimum picture of you and a user name. And a description and picture of your rig and power needs or abilities (solar OK but no use of generator). Property is fenced, gates are to be kept closed (not locked) at all times. Please be responsible for pets prefer on a leash on property. We have a swimming pool, can work out details for use (not heated). Code enforcement allows non occupied RV short time storage if you need to visit family or friends in the area that do not allow RVs due to zoning or HOA rules. Hook up to power for stored RVs is allowed for battery, refrigeration or dehumidifier use. Dump station at Loves Service station 5 miles away by I-75. Suggested Local Attractions: Shell Factory, ECHO, Babcock Ranch, Edison & Ford Home & Lab Museum and several local attractions, lots of restaurants, near lots of shopping, banks and Post office. Just a short distance ( 5 miles) from I-75 interstate. Good 30 - 45 minute drive to Ft Myers Beach, depends on traffic and construction and season.

(sorry) Keep area clean and pick up any cigarette butts - use your own sand container. Boondocking sites for use with your solar not generator - no problem. Retired Special Ed School Teacher and Retired Owner/operator of Motorcycle business & Drag Racer Details: We have been married 47 years and have had an assortment of RVs since the mid 70s. Recently retired and purchased new Super C to travel and enjoy each other and sights within the USA. As BW hosts we have welcomed over 370 guests and aware of the importance of good guest behavior. We hope to spend time on the road visiting other BW hosts. "Grandpa" has been a professional Drag Racer with NHRA, IHRA, Prostar and SMDRA. He raced motorcycles from the early 70s until 2004, then slowed down the pace and raced a Chevy S10 in the eighth mile sportsman class until Nov 2019. Now we are both retired and hope to travel and enjoy our new motor home and create new adventures. Joined Boondockers in hopes that travels will be having us see locations other than race tracks. But found hosting to be the greatest experience when home. Home Town: We are from South West Florida. "Grandpa" is a Florida cracker, born and raised in central and south Florida. "Schoolmarm" came to Florida in 1972 from Massachusetts and taught Special Ed in Immokalee, Florida for 30+ years and then 17+ years in Fort Myers. We have been living on the property in N Ft Myers now for 12 years. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Hope to do more recreational camping than just traveling to and from racing venues. Boondockers Welcome beats Walmart and rest areas. First Boondockers experience was with a family just outside Houston, TX. Excellent experience. This is a highly recommened resource. Now that we have hosted over 370 different Boondockers on our property we have a great idea and understanding of what to do and how to be the best Boondocker guests we can be on other host locations. Skills or Expertise to Share: "Grandpa" is a motor head and was an excellent mechanic and engine builder and tuner before his retirement. OCD for details on any and all mechanical things. Schoolmarm is great with kids, computers, crafts and can also help tune a motor and clean carbs. Grandpa was a professional Drag Racer. He has won championships on motorcycles and after 40 years of 2 wheel racing he gave up the motorcycle for another 10 years racing an S10 Chevy truck. Linda is the crew chief on and off the track!

We got prompt responses to any call or texts. (Not that this is expected, but it was certainly a positive.) Directions were clear. If you READ the host profile, then you already know what you need to know. Linda met us at the gate and helped us get situated, gave us directions to a supermarket. The spot is quiet and safe, near the house but not too near. The only thing I didn't like was that I zonked out right after I fetched the food and ate it. I would have liked to get to know my hosts better but was overpowered by sleep. I hope to get another chance! Thank you very much!

We really enjoyed our stay at the racers retreat. This was our very first BW stay and Linda and Marion were great hosts! We enjoyed our conversations with them and Linda provided excellent recommendations on things to do in the area. The space was excellent and it was great to have water and electric while we were there. We are traveling with 3 dogs and there was plenty of space for them to run and play with their dog Sonny Boy. The location was great to visit the sights and hiking trials in and around Fort Myers. If we are ever in SW Fl again we will definitely request another stay.

We had a great overnight stay at Racer’s Retreat. We were in town for a visit to our RV servicing dealership and finding this location so close by was ideal. The owners were very nice, friendly, inviting and helpful. We got an immediate response to our stay request and communication throughout the process was fantastic. We would definitely stay there again.
