We sit half way between Wells and Elko, Nevada just two miles off intestate 80. Our little desert ranch is quiet with a spectacular view of the Ruby Mountain range, and we are far enough away from the city that you can enjoy the starlit sky at night. Our main property is completely fenced 2.5 acres, so if you have a dog that needs to get out and run, feel free to let them loose. We have an area for up to five RVs of any length with water and a dump station available on property. Generators are welcome and there are also two spaces with 30 amp electrical. Water and sewer hookups are also available. In addition, we have one dedicated 20amp (120V) circuit with water and dump nearby (great for smaller RV's/Vans. If you're hauling horses we have a livestock pen that you may use to allow them out of your trailer. We are a work in progress here and have brought in some playground equipment for travelers with smaller children and a horseshoe pit near the fire ring. Donations are placed back into improvements for our traveling guests! :) Elko, NV. offers all the usual grocery stores, restaurants, casinos, as well as a museum. Elko also hosts The annual National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in January and the famous Silver State Stampede Rodeo in July. We are a short 40 minute drive to Angel lake which is an Alpine lake at approx. 8,300' elevation stocked with trout or good for kayaking.

Retired Railroading couple who still needs to feel the wheels turning under foot, so we swapped out steel for rubber and began RVing in 2017 full time, now part time. As hosts on our ranch in Nevada, we are allies and offer a safe place for camping to all who need it.

Eric is a wonderful host and made our stay seamless. He is so quick to communicate, is kind and very welcoming--he even offered to buy us groceries when he went into town! The drive in off the highway is about a mile or so of gravel, and it had some steep inclines that our pampered Promaster van did not like, but we took it slow and she made it through the bumps and vibrations okay in the end! Eric's home is the nicest one in the complex, gated, and the site is nice and level with electric, water, and dump station. It was very quiet at night and we slept soundly. We would stay with Eric again in a heartbeat!

There isnt much between Park City, UT and Lake Tahoe, CA. We were thrilled to find a HH near Elko to spend the night. The owner, Eric was delightful, greeted us and helped us find a spot to park. We learned a lot about him and his property. It was very windy and a storm was coming in, so he found us a place to get us as much out of the wind as possible. The road to get there was very washboarded and dusty, but doable. We appreciated a spot for the night.

We had a nice relaxing stay. We took it slow on the road in and had no troubles. Really appreciate the gracious welcome.

I was able to spend a few nights (with water and 30 amp) at the ranch while on a multi-day fishing trip to Elko County. Yes, the road is a bit bumpy; just take it slow like you would any other washboard-y road and you'll be fine. Eric was a wonderful host and communication was excellent. I'd absolutely stay at Rails2Roads Ranch again.
