We are located close to town (1 mile walk) but you feel secluded. Our property is a pasture with mountains in the backdrop. It's great to wake up to such amazing views or stay up late to star gaze. You can walk or drive to town for dining, shopping, etc. We are located 10 minutes from the Chattooga River, where whitewater rafting is a must. There is also tons of hiking, waterfalls, lakes, and mountain views all around this area. We live in a tiny house on the property and you will be parking in our driveway. We also convert vans into campervans so may be working on one of our projects while you are here. We currently do most of our building on another site. Suggested Local Attractions: Tallulah Gorge State Park, Black Rock State Park, Moccasin Creek State Park, Lake Burton, Lake Rabun, LOTS of waterfalls, Chattooga River rafting with Southeastern Expeditions Suggested Local Food & Drink: Currahee Brewing Company, Moonrise Distillery, Universal Joint, Fortify, Fortify Pi, Manriques Mexican Restaurant, Fromage & Other Fine Foods, Sunday Diner

Even though I had to cancel my dates for Ramblers Retreat (I had to have a flat tire changed and repaired.), I contacted my hosts who graciously excused my absence and wished me well getting my RV problems fixed. Thank you, Ramblers Retreat, Rosie and I hope to reschedule in the future.

After traveling for a year in their van, this delightful young couple found themselves a beautiful piece of land in the hills ouside Clayton. Despite being busy with their jobs, building projects and van-coversion work, they make time and space to welcome boondockers of all ages. To boot, they provide fast WiFi and a gorgeous view of the hills. We also enjoyed a nice long bike ride on Warwoman Rd, which is in a nearby valley.

Lovely couple hosting! Location is quiet, peaceful, good walking around the neighborhood for those of us who like to walk around. Nice neighbors too, southern hospitality at its best!

We enjoyed two nights at Rambler’s Retreat in a beautiful and peaceful setting. We got to explore Black Rock and Tallulah Gorge State parks as well as the cute little town of Clayton. The brewery was a nice treat after hiking the gorge. We were grateful to get to meet our hosts and get a tour of their most recent camper van build, so talented!
