Retired couple on a small farm. Details: We transitioned to the coast from Silicon Valley. The tranquility and beauty of the California coast is a wonderful contrast to the hustle and bustle the the valley. We enjoy road travel and have completed several cross-country road trips throughout the US. Home Town: Pescadero is a small community (pop. of about 650) in an agricultural area. The town is located on a portion of the original stage coach line (our address is on Stage Rd) and has a rich history. Two miles from the beach to the west and a few miles from the redwoods to the east. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Our favorite road trip took us up to Bellingham WA to get on the Alaska ferry. We disembarked at Skagway, Alaska and drove up towards the arctic circle in the Yukon. We pulled over in many locations as we crossed Canada and returned through Glacier National Park. Skills or Expertise to Share: We will welcome u-pick of our olallieberries during berry season (a California coast specialty that is in season from the end of June to the beginning of August).

We stayed three days. Great home base to explore PCH 1 from santa cruz up to half moon bay (or further if you want). Little (and I emphasize little) town of Pescadero is quaint. Everything closes tuesday except coffee shop and gas station/burrito joint. Even the other days there are just a few places to visit, but its worth the short walk from the host. 30amp, water and sewer available. Hosts ask for nothing, but we left thank you note and $30 to buy treats for Roscoe, their lovely dog. Entire area is fenced in so you can let you dogs run free, as long as dog friendly. Roscoe is a super mellow pooch and on the older side, so he just lays around observing the visitors. We'll be back if ever in the area.

My wife and I had the distinct honor and pleasure of having our 'maiden voyage' of our new teardrop staying at Rancho Oso Roble! What a delight! Cindy was the quintessential host, greeting us at arrival with information on on the local area (Pescadero) and telling us about her beautiful property. Sadly, berry season was over so we were not able to partake in the riches of the land. The property was pristine, quiet and lovely with views of the coastal hills and meadows. The town of Pescadero (one of our favorite destination spots) was only a block away. Here lies some wonderful culinary treasures for the uninitiated to discover! During the night, a storm blew in (the first rain in the area in many many months!) consisting of gale force winds and driving rain. This only added to the experience of the first trip... We were dry, warm and loving watching the weather outside as the sun came up. Lovely property, wonderful people, and a great time. Thank you for your warmth and hospitality! We look forward to returning soon, even if just to pick berries! ps, so glad you made it to the concert! Cheers! Jordan, Janis, & Lilo.

Cindy and JR we're fantastic hosts. They really have a great property that's minutes away from beautiful beaches and top sight seeing destinations. I appreciated the recommendations of local shops and their friendly hospitality!

Harvest Hosts once again prove they are the nicest people on earth! My stay at the Rancho was super quiet, with the best view of the beautiful hills. I missed the berry harvest, but Cindy directed me to town, where an abundance of goodies are available. I can't say enough nice things about this place,,if its available on your travels, you will enjoy it! Thank you Cindy and JR for your kindness and giving heart!
