Retired couple on a small farm. Details: We transitioned to the coast from Silicon Valley. The tranquility and beauty of the California coast is a wonderful contrast to the hustle and bustle the the valley. We enjoy road travel and have completed several cross-country road trips throughout the US. Home Town: Pescadero is a small community (pop. of about 650) in an agricultural area. The town is located on a portion of the original stage coach line (our address is on Stage Rd) and has a rich history. Two miles from the beach to the west and a few miles from the redwoods to the east. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Our favorite road trip took us up to Bellingham WA to get on the Alaska ferry. We disembarked at Skagway, Alaska and drove up towards the arctic circle in the Yukon. We pulled over in many locations as we crossed Canada and returned through Glacier National Park. Skills or Expertise to Share: We will welcome u-pick of our olallieberries during berry season (a California coast specialty that is in season from the end of June to the beginning of August).

We absolutely loved our stay at Rancho Oso Roble! Cindy is a top-notch host and provided us with great information about the town of Pescadero as well as ollalieberries. We will definitely be back when berry season is in full swing! We enjoyed great conversation with Cindy while our tiny dog met Roscoe, who just so happens to be the sweetest dog in Pescadero! We enjoyed the sounds and sights of nature as we parked our tiny home on this beautiful property. The town is super cute and super walkable. Be sure to get some sourdough bread at the bakery and a drink at the coffee shop. Fun! We drove to the Pigeon Point lighthouse for a lovely walk. Everything is easy to get to when Rancho Oso Roble is your home base. We already can't wait to go back!

My wife and I had a wonderful relaxing weekend in Pescadero. This was our first HarvestHost experience and Cindy was great helping us through it. She has a great setup available with electric, water and dump access. We went to sleep hearing the owls hoot at each other and awoke to the sound of ducks, quail and hawks. The small town of Pescadero is great to walk around, and don't forget to get dinner at Duarte's. We will definitely be back when the Ollalieberries are in season.

A lovely, sunny drive up the scenic CA1 coastline brought us to Pescadero. The directions were easy to follow and parking was plentiful. Because of recent rains, we stayed on the gravel; a good choice as the heavens opened in the night. We were booked to move on the next day, but our hosts graciously offered to extend us another if we wanted to avoid driving in the rain. Since we were booked at a NP, we said our goodbyes. Still, I would love to return some day. Pretty setting with 30 amp, bakery and restaurant within walking distance; such hospitality! I recommend Rancho Oso Roble.
