Forty-five minute's drive from Yosemite's West Gate, we are located in a stunning and isolated area. There are plenty of trails to hike, with amazing view points along the way. Because of the routes up, we close during the winter and open around mid May. Google maps does NOT properly navigate to our place. If you book, you will be sent proper routes and it is up to you to follow them and plan accordingly.

We were so looking forward to staying in this secluded 4WD access location, but unfortunately we couldnt find it. 😕 Probably our fault bc we were trying to find it at dusk and then ultimately at night. Since we were new to the area we probably should have left Yosemite earlier… but we didn’t. Word to the wise… give yourself plenty of daylight hours to find this place and don’t rely on Google or Waze to get you there… neither will take you to the right location or on public roads! Even with a 4WD van the roads it sent us on weren’t passable at night. With an overlander it probably would gave been ok. Good luck!!!!

This beautiful piece of land is incredible! We loved the sheer solitude with unspoiled full views of the sky and perfectly still nights and mornings. So that you know, you really DO need 4WD to get up the hill - even in non-wet and non-snowy conditions. We pulled a 27' travel trailer with a 4WD Power Stroke F-250. There are several miles of dirt road getting to the site that can be dusty in the summer. Availability of full hook ups was a wonderful bonus! We had intermittent 1 bar service with AT&T cell. Plenty of open sky for Starlink satellite internet. Our host Randall was wonderful - gave us great tips on how to navigate to the site before arrival, came down to meet us at the main road when we arrived, helped us get parked, and was attentive without being intrusive throughout our visit. Heck, he even offered us a beer on arrival (your experience may vary - we may have just looked particularly thirsty LOL!). Wonderful experience - highly recommended!
