We're Ric & Mel from Portugal & Australia. We bought our first Camper Van in 2018 but recently sold it to focus on our new house and property where we have plenty of land for hosting other campers. We loved the camper van and hope to get back into it soon as we're 100% settled into our new home and finish all the small projects around it. Ric's dream is to custom build his own camper van or campulance; he's an architect passionate about tiny home living and a very handy carpenter. Mel is an eye doctor and we have a small blind dog. No kids for us thanks but we're happy that other resposible adults keep the human species alive with their own kids :-)

I stayed at Ric and Mel's place a week ago today while on my way to visit with family. Communication with Ric was excellent and when I arrive he greeted me and let me know where to park. Access to the parking area is easy. It could get tricky for taller rigs with overhangs, however it is totally doable with careful approach. Ric and Mel offer a 30Amp hook up and water. I didn't use either but this would definitely come in handy when running low on resources; I would stay here again when passing through the area.

Right off the bat Ric was great with communicating and getting us settled for our stay. He was so helpful with tips and tricks on where we should visit during our travels! Will definitely be swinging back there someday to visit again!

This spot was fantastic, there was a flat driveway for us to park in with power close by. There was also water available up at the house. Wish the weather was nicer so we could have enjoyed sitting at the picnic table or around the campfire. There was plenty of space to walk our dogs on the property. The lot backs up to the freeway but the noise wasn't bad at all. Ric was easy to get in touch with and was very helpful. Removed one star from parking only cause it was a bit tricky to back into the spot. We were glad to be in a small rig.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ric & Mel's. They have a beautiful home with a nice yard and with the amenities they provide, it feels like you're staying at a park campground. It can be a bit tricky getting back to where you park your rig so reversing skills are a must, though our host offered to back up for us once we got into the driveway. We felt their request for donations was fair given that everything was set up for us to use all of the utilities. They have a 30 amp outlet, water and sewage dump all in place right where you'd need it. Very well thought out pad, perfect for placing our 19 ft travel trailer. Our host was very accommodating and we had a great visit. We found the location to be great for our commuting into NYC, which we did each day by driving under 10 minutes to either of the nearby train stations (metuchen or Woodbridge) and took the train about an hour to Penn Station. Would gladly stay here anytime we're in Jersey. Thanks Ric!
