Location

Access Road Conditions: You have to back off a paved road that is about 2 foot above the parking area ground level. Once you leave the paved road you are on grass and sand. Have had up to 30 foot trailer pulled by a truck that backed in with no problem. You will be parked by a pole barn. Vehicles longer than 30 feet need to call so we can check the ground. This is a sandy area and if we do not get rain larger rigs up to 45 might have problems. So please call after booking to check out the yard conditions. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Park with your rig.

Our host met us as we arrived around sunset and guided us into our stay. Although we didn't use the 30A electrical supply it would have been very appreciated if the weather had been bad. Fortunately our solar system kept us in electricity without any problems. Our host and I had some great conversations. He showed me his RV that he built himself from a bare utility box trailer - a job well done. We would certainly stay at Richs Barn again. Thanks!

Nice level spot, easy in and out. We enjoyed great conversation with Rich and Jill, they were wonderful hosts. Loved their DIY camper/trailer tour! The sunsets were amazing and we watched the stars come out each evening. Rich gave us information about local parks to hike awesome trails. We were also grateful to have a place to leave trash. Thank you Rich and Jill!

We spent three nights at Richs Barn. Our hosts were friendly, welcoming, and great with communication. We were met at the gate and guided to our spot next to the barn. The site was level to the 1/4”. We had great conversations about traveling, Florida history, food, and recipes. Richard and Jill were A+ hosts. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. We highly recommend this spot!

Rich’s Barn was such a perfect stay for me. Easy in and out, quiet and calm area, wonderful hosts! I feel so lucky to have spent time with Richard & Jill. Talked about their boat and The Great Loop boat trip they have done twice. Was able to see the trailer they did themselves, so smart. Also shared some information on some life changing eating behaviors they have experienced. It’s such a treasure to meet and learn from people, I feel very lucky to have crossed paths with them and look forward to another visit.

We were looking for a place to stay for the evening. Rich was a fantastic host. He met us at his gates, opened it up and assisted us backing into position. He provided an electrical hook up and told us about the area. He was very helpful and a great person to talk to. We highly recommended staying here.
