My wife and I are Campers and have utilized both Harvest Host and Boondockers and are happy to share our space with others. Our location is what remains of an old dairy and grain farm. We have 6.24 acres with the vintage barns and 2 story farm house with a pond. Looking SW-N you see grain fields - looking S-NE you will see a small 10 large lot subdivison. We are at the end so it is very quiet. There are many areas around the propery that are flat with easy access coming off the county roads. We do have space for up to 4 RV/Campers but have ONLY ONE location that would provide 30 amp hookup and water if interested. We do request a minimum donation if you are wanting to hook up - (Please let us know when you message us). There will also be a fire ring available with a little wood to get you started. We are approximately 20 minutes from Downtown Louisville that will offer many things to do, Childrens Science Museum, Louisville Slugger factory and Museum, Ohio river Waterfront with Bike and Hike trails, Lots of music venues, Zoo. Oh and many distilley tasting rooms and and local Microbreweries. We are also just 15 minutes from New Albany Indiana (An Old River town) that is also on the Ohio River. It too has some nice restaurants and a couple Breweries There are also caves to explore in the area along with some other attractions.

Location
The parking areas are grass but used to be an old barn yard so very solid in most areas. Access to the propery is off of paved county roads and there is a circle drive at the end of the paved area that the larger RV's will have to negotiate but we have had full size grain semi trucks, hay trucks etc come through with minimal concerns. Our lane is gravel and does have a few trees that the larger RV's may have some small limbs to look out for. There is plenty of turn around space and parking for tow vehicles.. We have only one spot that has a 30 amp hook up.

We live in the country on an old farmstead near Lanesville Indiana in a nice country setting. The farmhouse was built in 1928 with the old barn being built in late 1800's and early 1900's. I retired from the corporate business world in 2021. My wife retired from managing a farm market garden and continues to work part time at a local winery. We have a 25 foot camper trailer and enjoy camping in many parts of the country. We seek out destinations that provide both hiking and biking trails as well as natural settings near state, national parks etc. We also Enjoy visiting local wineries and microbreweries.

The host family was wonderful, accommodating, and very friendly. They help me out with traveling, tourism, and more importantly, parking my vehicle. They both had wonderful smiles and showed interest in my travels highly recommended.

Ricks location is really close to Louisville if you’re wanting someplace close to be able to explore the city. He has power that’s available and water. Very friendly would stay again if we go back that way

This is a good place near Louisville, but out in the country. Rick waited to greet us (we were delayed in traffic) and helped us get set up. Lots of space even for bigger rigs. We would stay here again when passing through.

Rick contacted us in advance of our arrival to confirm our arrival time. Over the day, he and my wife chatted via the Harvest Host links. When we were delayed by heavy traffic, we were thus able to update him. The property was easy to find with the assistance of Google maps. Our parking spot, located in the picturesque yard, was far enough from the house for reasonable privacy. The ad for the site indicated electric hookup so the provided water connection was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Rick!
