We are located in the center of the Thumb region. Lake Huron & Saginaw Bay surround the Thumb area and are approx 15 minutes away. Many summer festivals dot the shoreline. Bad Axe is 4 miles south and offers a Walmart and several food establishments. Wildlife is abound in our area. You may see deer, wild turkeys, fox and even bald eagles. This area is primarily a farm community, so you will encounter acres of crops as well as wooded landscapes. I have water on site for holding tank fills. Suggested Local Attractions:We have miles of shoreline and some of the areas best beaches. Cheeseburger in Caseville is one of our largest festivals, But Caseville hosts several throughout the year. We are located about 20 miles from Caseville. Port Austin hosts the areas largest Farmer Markets each Saturday through mid October. The Octagon Barn is a great historical attraction and hosts festivals during the summer and fall.

Newly retired couple who loves camping Details: We are new to boon docking and plan on starting more travel across the U. S.. We are hoping to be able to boon dock as we explore all that America has to offer. We also can accomadate others who may be traveling through our area. Home Town: Filion, Mi. Just North of Bad Axe, Mi. 1/4 North of Crown Road on the West side of the road. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We like nature, so the countryside is ideal. Farms, orchards, family owned restaurants and bars. Wooded property, lakeside or riverside would be wonderful too. We can operate off grid and are completely self contained. We respect your land like our own. We are quiet, soft spoken folks who enjoy peaceful locations. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am a retired pest control company owner of 35 years. If its bugging you, I can kill it! lol

We never actually met Dale because he was off camping himself, but he was still gracious enough to honor the date we had reserved. Dale included great directions to his property and the aerial photo of the horseshoe driveway made it clear where to park. He has a spacious and beautiful property that is set back from a main road - very easy to access, level and was quiet overnight. Appreciate the great communication and peaceful stay while we explored the area!

Gracious hosts that were good about communicating and helped us get all set up as we needed. Easy access from a state highway to a large parking area that is easy to get in and out of, and yet you are far enough from the road that it's not noisy overnight.
