We are outside of town so it is peaceful. Our property backs up to River Creek Golf Course and walking distance to Perkins Boy Scout Reservation. We are very close to Sheppard Airforce Base, Burkburnett, and Wichita Falls, Tx. We are also close to Oklahoma Casinos. Wichita Falls has lots of local retail and entertainment as well as most National businesses. There is also a great paved walking/biking trail around most of Wichita Falls. Suggested Local Attractions:Above☺️

If it's raining the parking area is not accessible. We have street parking with no hookups.

Access Road Conditions: We are at the end of a paved road. RV parking is inside a fenced area on Sandy soil/grass. If it rains it will be difficult to pull in or out. Usually dries out quickly- in a day or two. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We live outside town on 3 acres. You can park a vehicle wherever you like.

Happily retired living in North Texas. Details: We are both happily retired! Previously we worked in Law Enforcement/Social Services. Greg is also a motorcycle instructor and he rides his Harley or BMW every chance he gets. We travel in our 5th Flagstaff, 29 'when we can. We have lived in the Wichita Falls area for over 40 years and are invovled in many activities here. Home Town: We actully live outside of Wichita Falls near the Red River, about 2 miles from I 44. We are five miles from Burkburnett, TX and 4 miles from the front gate of Sheppard AFB. About 10 miles from downtown Wichita Falls. Just across the Red River are the Kiowa and the Comanche Casinos. Small town, easy to get around. Lots of retail and activities. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Colorado, Arizona are at the top of the list. But we hope to travel all over. Skills or Expertise to Share: Greg is all around Mr. Fixit. He has been very handy with our home and RV. Chris is an all around seamstress and crafter.

Chris and Greg greeted us warmly when we arrived, There was plenty of room in their spacious backyard to maneuver into place. We were quickly set up with electric and water before the next rain started. We had a quiet night; didn't get to hear the "sound of freedom". In the morning it was raining, and Chris instructed us not to get wet saying goodbye, then came out in the rain herself to wish us safe travels! Like I said, super nice folks.

Can’t say enough great things about our stay and hosts in Wichita Falls.Very good and kind people. Greeted us with open arms offering us any assistance needed and a safe wonderful spot to stay. we got there after a very heavy 2 days of rain. Gave us a paved area to stay until the paddock area dried out in the am. We were there 2 nights. The hosts you hope for.

C&G at River Crest Escape truly represent the title of Legendary Hosts. So friendly and helpful. Beautiful place. Quiet with no highway noise and as an old pilot I ENJOYED the “sound of freedom” emanating from Shepherd AFB this morning as they were doing touch-and-goes… awesome. Property backs up to a beautiful golf course. Water and power are an awesome plus! Level grassy spot. Don’t miss this “Escape”. And you’ll get to meet “Skelly” - the mascot. He dresses approriately for every holiday season, not just Halloween!
