Our location has 4 full hook-up campsites located on it but currently I'm limiting boondocker sites to one rig at a time. I use these sites for our family and friends to come as well. Rural setting. Our site overlooks the Vermillion River and our own farmland. The road past my place is currently under construction; so rather than being a paved road, it is ground asphalt. Expected to be paved again later this year. Suggested Local Attractions: Approximately 35 miles SW of Sioux Falls, SD and 45 miles NE of Yankton, SD.

House Rules
We would prefer if guests could arrive before dark. Our place is rural and only lit with yard lights so backing into the campsites after dark can be difficult for some (plus we'd like to settle in for the evening). We are in located in the Central Time zone and we've had many guests coming from the west (Mountain Time Zone) and they forget to take this into account when figuring their arrival time. Otherwise, we only ask that children be supervised and not allowed near the farm equipment. We have four full hook-up spots but save two for family and friends. If you are unable to arrive for a confirmed stay, please let us know so that we can make that site available to others.
Location
Access Road Conditions: Easy access; located on an oil road (currently under construction); approx 7 1/2 miles west of I-29 and a half mile south. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have lots of room for parking. Camp sites are quite long and there is room for the tow vehicle with the camping unit or right nearby on the yard.

Married couple who enjoy travel, off-roading, kayaking and NASCAR Details: Darrell and Candice farm in SE South Dakota. Darrell is 66 and Candice is 62. We've been married 43 years. Our children are grown and we enjoy spending time with them and our grandchildren. We love traveling in our motorhome, meeting and visiting with new people. We like to travel south in winter to the Texas and Arizona area. We like to ride our Polaris RZR, do some kayaking, attend NASCAR races and make new friends along the way. Home Town: Darrell grew up on a farm just a mile from where we live right now. Candice grew up in another small town about 20 miles from here; Irene, SD. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We've boondocked at Quartzsite, near Yuma and at Glamis, CA. Can't wait to try other spots! Skills or Expertise to Share: Darrell is a welder and very handy with many things. Candice loves her flower and vegetable garden.

It was a windy and cold couple of days but the location was perfect. The host was very gracious, communicated well, and kindly led us to our site. It was a full hook up site, which was a great blessing!

Beautiful piece of property with views over the wheat fields. Peaceful and quiet. Candice is a very good communicator. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Didn’t get to drown any worms but thoroughly enjoyed the view watching some pretty cool birds. Saw a female pheasant which was a pure pleasure. Candice met us as we pulled in and directed us to our freshly mowed spot. I was surprised when she offered a dumpster for our trash. Nice perk. Would definitely come back with our 40ft fifth wheel.

We needed a quick overnight stay ourside Sioux Falls, SD. Great communication with Candace leading up to our stay. We arrived at her beautiful farm and she helped guide us into the site (grass and gravel). She had 30/50 amp ($5), water and sewer available. We then enjoyed a wonderful sunset over the farmlands, the site backs up to a creek, as an added bonus the surrounding area is exceptionally quiet. An avsolutely great stay, one of the best we have had thus far with HH. Tips: Fill up at the interstate before heading the 15 min to the farm. We tried to fill up in Viborg and the diesel pump wasnt working.
