* Due to flooding and damage from Hurricane Ian, we are not accepting visitors until further notice * Please make sure that your bio and profile pic are completed before requesting a stay. Enjoy a bit of old Florida. We live on an acre in a rural area that is close to I-75 and depending on the wind/weather you may hear some traffic noise. Our neighborhood is surrounded by county owned preserves that lend to biking, hiking, and scenic walks. Ideal for nature lovers and those that want a break from the city life. We have a small canal at the back of our property that flows into the wild and scenic Myakka River. As with all bodies of water in Florida, we see alligators from time to time. If you are traveling with pets, they need to be leashed while outdoors. This location may not be suitable for small children due to wildlife and water access. Suggested Local Attractions: We are 15 minutes from Historic downtown Venice and three beaches, Casperson, Venice, and Nokomis. The Legacy bike trail is within biking or driving distance. There are many restaurants to choose from and bi-monthly concerts at the Gazebo in downtown Venice. We are 30 minutes from Sarasota and the famous Siesta Key Beach.

Terri and Steve were lovely! Their property is beautiful and is close to many activities and shopping. Nice parking spot for the trailer and they were so helpful. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying that we are new at this. We came to the property as a "test" run/shakedown trip due to it's proximity to our home. The property is absolutely amazing - so beautiful. Very wooded and right on a little stream. The pad is wide so even a novice was able to negotiate it with somewhat ease. The 30 AMP is professionally installed like you would find at a RV resort as is the water. But we must say - even better than this perfect site are the owners of this perfect site - Terri and Steve. They were so accommodating, caring and compassionate. They gave us a wealth of ideas on things to do in the evening (though we live close we hadn't researched prior to our visit). However more important to us two newbies was the general and specific information on just camping. Travel guides on finding places, concerts we might was to see, places they had visited and loved. It quickly became a true friendship. Though they are so close in proximity... we will be back. WE LOVE THIS PLACE and these two awesome people.

This was our first camping trip ever and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to begin making our memories! Steve and Terri are amazing hosts! They greeted us, showed us the property and where to park, provided us with great advice about things to do in the area as well as camping tips and tricks. Steve recommended the "swoosh" to remember how best to position the tow vehicle before backing up :) Everything was perfect! Beautiful moss covered oak trees surround the private camping space. We rode our bicycles for miles and miles though the many parks and reserves surrounding the community. We saw deer, wild baby pigs, cows, horses, turtles and birds. It's just a short drive into town for more sightseeing and waterfront sunset restaurants. Thanks so much for providing such a lovely place to stay!

Thank you Steve and Terri. Amazing property to stay, you feel like you’re in the woods with the beautiful trees and river but yet just off the road. Wonderful hosts. We hope you stop by when you travel north

Terri and her husband were wonderful hosts. My site was on a canal and very quiet. This area is surrounded by preserves and not far from downtown Venice. Will return when in area.
