Retired farmer, enjoy traveling Details: Jan & both graduated from Kansas State Univ. After a tour in USAF as pilot, we farmed in north central Kansas for 35 yrs. We have 3 children, Traci has 3 boys, Lesley has 1 boy, Brent is single, he came back to farm in 2006. We leased our operation to him. We still help when needed. We have more hobbies than we can keep up with. Jan has always been a musician(piano & organ), she is into quilting, gardening, & "Grandma". I like to fly aerobatics, ride motorcycle, & like to restore anything(I've got more ideas than I've got done). We both enjoy skiing and teaching kids to ski. We do a lot of woodworking & restoring old furniture. We love to travel, have a 23' motorhome, and have spent 6-7 weeks on the road each year since retirement. We've made it to all 50 states, all but one Canadian Prov. & about 1/2 of Mexico. Always looking for a new experiance. Home Town: Randall, Ks 66963 Favorite Boondocking Locations: Anywhere. Alaska was good. Love Canada. Skills or Expertise to Share: I'll try fixing anything. Does music, cooking, "Grandma",flying, skiing, woodworking count.

Great peaceful place in the country. Viewed a real efficient grain storage and drying system. Our hosts were fun to talk to and we learned things about farming that I didn't know o remember from my childhood farm memories. Went to see the largest sisal twine ball and Orphan Train museum not far away. Really enjoyed our time here.

Our hosts were very friendly and we got an extremely informative tour of the farm operations and history when we arrived. In the morning, we were able to chat again and we were on our way. We enjoyed our stay very much and the fireflies just after sunset were a wonderful bonus!

We enjoyed our stay on the grain farm so much. We had great afternoon visits under the shade trees with a nice breeze, a few snacks and relaxing conversations. Our Hosts toured us around the farm and we got to watch grain being loaded and hauled to market and the whole operation and equipment explained. It was all so interesting and a great highlight of our trip. Our Hosts provided 30 amp electric and had water available. We highly recommend going out of your way a bit to make this a stop on your travels. We feel we met old friends and truly hope our paths cross again.

Very quiet place out in the country. Definitely get directions from the host as our GPS wanted to go down the wrong dirt road. We really enjoyed our evening getting to know our hosts. Thank you very much for providing us with a very quiet and level spot to spend the night. I wish we would’ve had time to take up the offer of visiting the farm but unfortunately we had a long day of driving ahead of us. We hope if you Ever get down to Florida you’ll stop in and visit with us as well.
