Rob and Judy Wachtler, We are also Boondockers Welcome hosts at our home in New Jersey. We’ve owned every type of RV over the years. We really enjoy the outdoors and traveling. I’m a licensed master plumber and Judy is an office manager. Recently down sized from a 30 foot class A. Now we travel in a 2023 Winnebago Solis van and we love it.

This was a 2 day stop with 3 corgis. We just needed a rest and this was perfect. The host is responsive and generous. We used the 30 amp hookup and exercised the corgis. The space is level, easy to access, quiet. It was everything we needed having been on the road traveling for over a month. It is inclose proximity for a stop enroute to family visits so we did not have to have long days of driving to our next destination. It was perfect for us.

I had a meeting at Ramapo College and needed a place to park overnight. This was the perfect place, quiet amd very private! GPS had a little difficulty with the directions but the host was super helpful helping me find his place. Highly recommend.

My husband and I are new to the boondockers world and staying with rob was a wonderful first experience. He was great about answering any questions we had, he was flexible with our arrival (as we got there a few hours after we planned to.) gps wasnt very clear on what house was his, but once we arrived he was there to help us turn around, back in and get situated. very level driveway. Nice big yard we were able to let our dogs use the restroom and get some good sniffing in. it was rainy and snowy while we were there but if it wasnt for that, it was ample space to play some catch or get some zoomies out. the neighborhood is very quiet, great place to go for a nice walk. robs place is very very private. he allowed us to use his water and offered for us to dump, however our hose unfortunately wasnt long enough to reach his sewage (by about a foot) and we didnt feel comfortable backing into his yard due to the previous mentioned weather conditions. if you have a sewage extension you wont have any problems ! Rob does have a work vehicle in his garage so if you stay during the week there is a chance you will hear him or his employee loading it up for the day. Other than that we didnt hear anything, just the birds and the rainfall. the local area doesnt have a whole lot, cvs, a couple restaurants, we didnt explore too much but thats all we really saw. we would definitely stay again for a quiet getaway. Thank you Rob!!

We are heading south to eecape the cold New England weather this year. Rather than pay $$ at a campground, we decided to try a Boondockers Welcome spot. We had stayed at some Harvest Host spots in the past and had enjoyed them, so we thought about giving this a try. Rob was great. I messaged him several times with questions. He was always prompt with his reply. When we got to his house, he helped me turn around in his large driveway. He also offered us an electrical connection. That was great in that it allowed us to charge our phones and run the space heater. This was a great stop and a great introduction to Boondockers Welcome.
