This isn't a destination boondocking spot, but it will give you a safe, reasonably quiet and private location to spend the night, on a gravel pad behind a barn just off of Rt 30. There is water, 30 amp service, a picnic table and fire pit (bring your own wood) We do not require payment for hookups, but a donation of $3 per night is appreciated to help offset our costs The wifi will probably not work at the camper, but is available elsewhere on the property. There are several acres for kids to play in the grass or to walk your dog. We don't live here, but the pole building houses our rock cutting shop ( no commercial traffic) and we are in and out most days. We have a pretty extensive collection of rocks and minerals which we'd be happy to show you if you have an interest! You'll find a box with information on local attractions at your site. Hope to meet you soon! Suggested Local Attractions: We're a good stop if you're on your way somewhere! Rt. 30 is a major east/west corridor. Gettysburg is an easy straight 16 mile drive to the west. Lancaster (PA Dutch Country) is 34 miles to the east, Hershey PA is 42 miles north. Baltimore MD is around 50 miles south. More locally, there's a huge farmer's market/flea market about 5 miles away (open weekends) & good antiquing in the village of New Oxford, a nice rail trail 5 miles south for biking, York PA is known for factory tours (like the Harley Davidson factory) and it's history as the first US Capitol. There is golf nearby. The spot is in a safe, private and semi-rural area. It is a few miles to gas/shopping/restaurants.

This was our first stay using Harvest hosts. The site was great with electric and water and the host was very pleasent. The sunset from where we were parked was absolutely fantastic. It was a very peaceful place to stay. I am looking forward to my next opportunity to spend time there again in the future.

Easy in and out with our Class C. Enjoyed looking through the binder which provided lots of info on the surrounding area. Unfortunately didn’t get to meet our hosts. Thank you for providing a 30 amp hookup & water! Would definitely stay here again.

Anita and Kevin were outstanding and incredibly hospitable this past weekend. The site is secluded and was close enough to Gettysburg while far enough away from Bike Week. We will definitely come again and highly recommend this BDW location :) Thank you again Anita and Kevin!

This was a wonderful place to very comfortably spend two nights while in the area. A fantastic first use of our boondockers welcome membership. Nice gravel pad with very well done availabile electric/water hookups - much appreciated. Glad we got to meet our gracious and friendly hosts - hope to visit again to see more of Lancaster and Gettysburg.
