* when approved, please text me (701-626-1463) for photos of parking spots in case I’m gone. It is a commercial business. i have room for most any rig. can fill water from my building, and sewer dump is in city park near buy. not a fancy spot, but will do for an overnighter. lots of things to see in local area. if time permits, i can visit and or give tour of local area. i'm willing to help with anything i can. Suggested Local Attractions:nice park and pool(that has paid camping spots). a couple great eateries. a few other close by historic attractions. * side note* the winter dates that are blocked are because i'm gone and there may be too much snow on the lot. however, if you just need an overnight rest stop, you can make the request(just pick a unblocked date) and i'll call you back. Due to boondockers website being confusing to me and multiple guests coming in, I’m asking all guests to send me a text ,with your name and dates you are staying, for further info/update. This is just an effort to sort everybody out 701-626-1463 Much appreciated, Dan.

Dan was very communicative, and we knew exactly where to go and park. We had a great chat, and the space was perfect. It suited us so well that we stayed with him again on our way back! Can't wait to run into him again in our travels. :)

Nice stay in Velva! Dan was super easy to get ahold of. He responded quickly and gave us good directions for finding his spot. He knew that he wouldn't be there - so he sent images to us of where to park and how to get there. There were a few trains close by at night - so bring earplugs if that bothers you. Otherwise, any traffic noise that we heard was just white noise. We were glad to meet Dan the next morning. He shared a lot about his business and interests. We really enjoyed our stay and meeting him!

We were looking for a place to stay close to Minot so we could attend the North Dakota State Fair. The campgrounds in the area were booked so we looked for a Harvest Host or BW Host and found Dan at the Rock Stop! Dan was super friendly and very helpful and flexible. He allowed us to come in the morning so we could spend the day at the fair! He was very communicative throughout the whole process staying in touch via text and sending pictures of the host location. This is a business and is located on a busy street so expect some road noise, but it was perfect for a quick stopover! Dan gave us an overview of the area and told us where we could get water and dump our tanks if needed. He was very friendly and spent a lot of time educating us about his rock shop - he even let me pick a rock from his shop which he then cut and polished for me! If you are in the area, we highly recommend a stay at the Rock Stop! Thank you for your hospitality Dan!!

Friendly host met us there and gave us the lowdown on the town. Pointed out the local park where you could dump your tanks and fill with potable water free. We stayed the night of July 4th and this small town of 1300 people put on an awesome fireworks display. Good stop.

Easy drive in off the hwy. Right across the street from a Cenex station that's open 24 hrs with bathroom-shower available. There's a nice bar- restaurant also across the street. After 10 hr drive was good to walk the town streets and loosen up. Heard the train and vehicles on the hwy but easy to tune it out and slept like the dead, waking refreshed for another 10 hr drive. Did not get to meet the host but all communications with him were clear and prompt. Highly recommend this place to stop and flop for the night.
