We are away from any city on 10 acres; this is in a neighborhood on a dead end road. Only about 2 acres are cleared, the rest is wooded and you are welcome to investigate. Our driveway is gravel with the rig parking areas dirt/sandy/weeds, but plenty of shade. We are on a well for water that has been tested. Since we are out in the country, we have the usual "critters" and insects found in Upper East Texas. We have a small fence kennel for large dogs if you want them fenced. Gas/diesel station is 1/4 mile away and able to handle large rigs. We are off the beaten path for tourist attractions but if you are looking for some quiet or a restful time, we can offer you a spot. Suggested Local Attractions: Closest cities are Longview and Tyler Texas about a 45 minutes drive. Smaller towns are within 20 minutes. Gas is available within 1/4 miles and the station can hand large rigs.

House Rules

We happily offer 30 amp & 50 amp and well water. Generators, slide outs, outside cooking and smoking are all fine. We do ask that you dispose of smoking butts in the trash and clean up after you dog. Children and pets should be under voice control or leashed. Both are allowed to free range with the understanding that we have all the critters (insects, birds, reptiles and wild animals) that usually live in wooded areas; exploring is at your own risk. Our place is not outside lighted and we ask that you turn off any outside lights on your RV when not in use. We understand circumstances change so arrival and departure dates are negotiable. We do ask that you give us a guesstimate of your arrival and departure times. We are retired and sleep in til 7:00 a.m.; please don't knock on the door before then unless you want to see undressed old people. :-)

We are retired military who love living outside of town Details: Both of us are retired Air Force and moved to Texas in 2012 from Alabama; getting too old for the humidity and Hurricanes. We motorcycle ride, enjoy the outdoors, chatting with our boondockers and square dance for exercise and social enjoyment. Home Town: We live in the country on 10 acres in upper East Texas. While our address list us as Winnsboro, that city is actually 25 minutes from us.

i had an excellent stay here, the hosts were amazing and provided everything i needed. water, wifi, place to let my dogs run and friendly dogs to play with. They even helped me dump my black/ grey water ! And we had a lovely visit before leaving; wonderful hospitality and my idea of a perfect place to stop among friends.

Ken and Cheryl were incredible hosts. They were happy to help me out with any questions I had as a newbie and were a wealth of RVing knowledge. They’re off the beaten path a bit, but still within 30 minutes of a couple Texas State Parks and small towns. Definitely worth stopping if you enjoy good conversation and want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Such wonderful people out on a beautiful wooded acreage. Loads of trees, wild flowers, birds and other critters. A great spot to rest and recharge for a few days. We will be back.

This was a nice location for us to visit friends close by. The host's were very accommodating and gave us several options to park our trailer.
