CROWS (Cruisers Riding On Wheels) Details: We are both retired. Randy was a military pilot and a Human Resource and Training professional in his working life. Lori was a Human Resources Manager. After retirement, we spent 15 winters cruising our sailboat in Florida and The Bahamas. For the first 10 of those years a motorhome was our summer residence and means of travel between Florida and our home province of Manitoba. Several years ago we bought a house and a couple of years ago we sold our sailboat. For the immediate future we're planning to spend our winters traveling the southern US in our motorhome. We enjoy music and art, cultural events, food and wine, walking and biking. We are animal lovers and a little dog crazy. Home Town: Our desire to be near water influenced our decision to buy our retirement home in Gimli, Manitoba, a fishing village, resort town, and home to Crown Royal on the east shore of Lake Winnipeg. Favorite Boondocking Locations: The boatyard in FLorida where we kept our boat was our favorite boondock location. We've also frequented Walmarts and Flying J's and have tried a few BLM sites in Arizona. Skills or Expertise to Share: Reasonable knowledge of RV systems and carpentry.

I had a wonderful stay at Sailorsrest. Randy and Lori greeted me, showed me where to oark (easy, level, spacious). They were incredibly generous. Sailorsrest is an easy walk to the shores of Lake Winnipeg, where there are trails to walk along the water. i was so grateful for a quiet landing spot after long days traveling through Saskatchewan and Manitoba and so appreciate their generous hospitality. I would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed two very peaceful nights at Sailorsrest! Beautiful level site. We had lots of room. Close to downtown. Enjoyed attending the Gimli Icelandic Festival while we were there

Lori and Randy are super nice hosts. Unfortunately, when we were there it was very windy and we could not enjoy a meet and greet on their beautiful back deck. Super easy access and level parking in their driveway. Electricity and water available. We spent 2 nights there and enjoyed a day exploring the town of Gimli - only a 15 to 20 minute walk. We enjoyed the Viking Park and a walk by the Seawall Murals. We wanted to ride our bikes along Lake Winnipeg, but, unfortunately, it was too windy.
