Honored to be among only about a dozen "Hall of Fame Hosts" with Boondockers Welcome. We strive to make this an enjoyable place to stay! Enjoy the dark night sky and country quiet atmosphere. We're outside the city limits and enjoy the peaceful country feel, but only 10 - 20 minutes from lots of things to see and do. We do what we can to keep this a peaceful and quiet place that everyone can enjoy. Noise will not be tolerated, and pet rules are strictly enforced. We have enjoyed hosting so much that we built 9 spots with full 50/30/20 amp hookups and we're aiming for a “Campground” feel. The key word is “campground” not trailer park. We offer free boondocking and $10/day hookups cash upon arrival ($15 for 50AMP) for UP TO 4 nights within 90 days, but also offer extended stays at a higher rate through Hipcamp and Campendium. We suggest taking advantage of your Boondockers Welcome advantage first! Additional perks and amenities are available and we welcome donations to help keep those extras available. We have a large natural garden, cows, goats, chickens, free range white dove/pigeons that circle the property and a couple of friendly farm dogs that stay in our yard. We grow everything naturally without chemicals. We can often give tours of our homestead and animals after our workday is done so let us know if you'd like a tour. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Within 10 miles, Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake Worth, Fort Worth Nature Center, Walmart, & lots of places to eat Within 10 - 20 miles, Fort Worth Stockyards (a must if you're new to Texas, ask us for insider info), Malls, Botanic Gardens, Water Gardens, Downtown Fort Worth. Museum of Science and History Night life 30 - 40 miles to Arlington which has theme parks, ball parks, stadiums... Texas Motors Speedway, Weatherford, and Horse tracks are also less than an hour away. About an hour from Dallas

House Rules

Please mention if you need power or prefer a pull through spot upon sending initial request since not all spots have the same options. Pull through spots are limited and not always available. It's also helpful to know if you are traveling with kids or pets. All spots have water, most have power, and Sewer but there CAN NOT BE ANY BACTERIA KILLING CHEMICALS in your holding tanks if using our aerobic septic system. If you use bacteria killing treatment then you’ll have to empty tanks before arriving or after leaving. PLEASE DON'T ROAM THE PROPERTY OR VISIT THE ANIMALS WITHOUT AN ESCORT, it's a farm so there are some general safety concerns. Children must be supervised at all times and pets must stay on a leash. Please walk pets toward the road, not toward the garden and animals. DO NOT DISPOSE OF TRASH HERE! We do not have city trash service and trash must be disposed of in a certain way. Some of our guests have placed trash in our neighbors trash can and caused us lots of grief so please talk to us or pack it out! Communication and a good attitude are important! Boondocking is free, but power and sewer or other services that we pay for should be reimbursed (cash upon arrival). There is also a donation box on the porch of the little red building. Please do not drive on the grass, the ground is soft and will leave ruts. Please don't invite guests to our property without our approval. Please be courteous to other guests, especially after hours, lights out, and quiet so we can all enjoy the solitude. A guest mindset goes a long way, and loud, rude, or intrusive guests will be removed immediately. Pet rules are strictly enforced! We CAN NOT ACCEPT after dark arrivals!

Texas couple exploring new adventures Details: We’re mostly quiet and self-sufficient, though we do like to get to know people when we have the chance. We now work full time on our small homestead where we also host other travelers. We have a large natural garden, goats, chickens and a couple of farm dogs that stay behind when we travel. We stay busy with all the responsibility but we are passionate about RV life. The sights we've seen on these trips are great but the people we meet are what make the trip, and that's a big part of why we host. Being new empty nesters, we're always looking for new adventures & ideas. Sam is a cautious adrenaline junky, and Sarah is becoming more open minded about living on the edge. We have a Facebook page for our travels at https://www.facebook.com/friendsinrvspaces Home Town: Azle, Texas (Northwest of Fort Worth) Favorite Boondocking Locations: Airventure in Oshkosh Wisconsin, Texas Renaissance Festival near Houston, and random off-grid boondocking spots miles from roads. Skills or Expertise to Share: We are both somewhat experienced at Farming & Gardening (naturally without harmful chemicals) Sam is a Private Pilot & (former) owner of a Cessna 172. Sarah is a great cook and skilled at canning what we grow. We are in the process of building a small campground on our homestead and have done all of the design and construction ourselves.

We loved Sam & Sarah's place!! They are super friendly. They have quite a few sites with campground type hookups. The little red shed was great. I have never seen a boondocker with a shower and laundry facility!! We had to cut our visit short due to weather unfortunatly, but we hope to be back again!

Sam & Sarah have this place setup like a campground, there’s power, water, and sewer hookup, very nice. There’s a shed with laundry facility & shower which is very clean even though I didn’t use either. I purchased a dozen fresh eggs from them & it was delicious. There’s no dumpster, even when I extended my stay for $30/ day for a week , I still didn’t have access to a dumpster, the only downside, not a dealbreaker. The surrounding houses have a lot of dogs that bark all day & night. Overall, it was a good stay & I recommend it.

Sam and Sarah are such precious people! We absolutely have loved our stay here. Farm fresh happy eggs from happy chickens (free range) are available for an amazing price (happy eggs are much better and healthier than grocery store eggs!) They also have a beautiful hand built barn that includes a shower room and small laundry center (the prices for a load of laundry are so affordable compared to going to a normal laundromat, finding a place to park and then finding a washer and dryer that works!). They offer full hook up sites, the water is filtered and softened, electric boxes are new and also sewer (only if you don't use chemicals in your toilet). Please follow all instructions they leave, it is vitally important for making certain they can stay in business because we want to return again! The cost of what they offer as opposed to the money I'm sure they have to pour into making everyone comfortable is nominal and almost feels like it's free. They give tours of their almost-sustainable farm and we learned so much about cows, goats and chickens during our stay (make sure you get a lick from their adorable cows!). We will definitely return. We would love to see their business grow and flourish. That can only happen if we are all as generous as they are. Kudos! High Five! Friends in Rv Spaces, y'all definitely set the bar high! We aren't even gone yet and can't wait to return.

Friends and RV places was exactly what we were looking for, as a close by location to try out our new motorhome. Access and hook ups were easy, and the location had everything we needed! The “little red building” was an added feature we weren’t expecting, so it added another level of camping, it even has a washer and dryer! We were greeted by Sarah upon our arrival, to answer any of our questions we were curious about, she was also quick to respond through Harvest Hosts. The homestead is definitely in the country (but close to city living) with all of those delightful sights and sounds, even with a rooster crowing for a wake-up call in the morning! When we need that country feel to get away from the city we will stay here again! Cheers 🥂🍻
